As long as filial piety is a thing in China, long wheelbase cars will always be in demand even if car ownership reaches a hundred percent.

Id like one car with cockpit just likes aero fighter, but I agree the future car will have no steering, no button in the seat chamber anyway. tiguan L pro is catering chinese right way but not too much, maybe needs to entertain "old money" as VW did before, a mediocre innovation

It's difficult to understand and use the car functions due to the language issues maps and AVATR app only in Chinese, until now i feel i am driving a normal car😢

We had Chinese cars for a while in Brazil, but the latest generation of BYDs, Cherys, JACs and new brands shows how much tech and equipment is valued in China. Brazilians love tech, but the western brands always "paywalled" screens and small conveniences in higher trims, which is not always the case with chinese brands. I totally get why the Tiguan L Pro is tuned to China. Great car.

Funny thing is it's still useful as a taxi albeit as ride share, ironically on the Didi service. At least 50% of my Didi rides I get the AION Y.

AION Y was indeed a huge hit for GAC; the AION brand has taken off in huge fashion since the original one came out. Specs are good for the price. I can see why this vehicle does so well. Great content as always!

Air/liquid cooled batteries, and the safety features? like EBD, ESP and TC, air bags, etc.

I don't agree with the negative remarks about the looks, You need to compare it with the cars' in similar price bracket. It looks like a 'Lamborghini Urus' 04:58 for $29000, and with a battery Swap option. What more do you want. Trust me, it will sell like a hot cake, unless they don't have a major interior design flaw.

I'm not an investor in Xpeng; however, I'm rooting/cheering for them in the larger context of global NEV adoption. The review of the AION Y is an excellent segway towards Xpeng's Mona debut. Thanks for the frequent non-run-of-the-mill content that is always interesting, well-researched, and presented in a polished, i.e., professional, manner. I'm optimistic that geopolitical tension will eventually give way to environmental stewardship, thus allowing some of the presented options to be experienced on U.S. shores.

Judging from the driving section of the video, the wind and road noises are borderline deal breakers, even at that price point…

Ah, yes. The AION Y, the Taxi of taxies. Went back to Shanghai last year and every second Didi driver has one of these little box of a car. Gonna say it fits this rule almost perfectly.

EV reviewers I look for usually start with the powertrain and test it. You went only half way but nailed a fair comparison with the Model Y's efficiency. If you could, kindly add tested cooling and thermal management capabilities of for the battery pack. Does it only supports normal charging or can it withstand rapid charging? Good work and keep the good news coming.
