SAM Smart Nozzle with Nozzle-to-Pump Technology
The innovative SAM Smart Nozzle, with patent-pending N₂P Technology™, is designed to work with the SAM™ Integrated Water Control System to give nozzle operators more information than they’ve ever had before.
Currently, it is up to the pump operator to set the pump and line pressures. But it is no small task. The pump operator must estimate friction and head loss plus cope with unknown losses from bends and kinks in the line. The result can be incorrect pressure and flow at the end of the hose, the critical point of the fire attack. Meanwhile, the attack crew is on the radio calling for water. Once they have water in a charged attack line, they may need more or less pressure, wasting precious time in a situation where seconds matter.
With patent-pending Nozzle-to-Pump, or N₂P Technology, the SAM Smart Nozzle gives the crew on the line direct information and provides feedback to the truck using the SAM System technology. The result is greater safety and efficiency on the fireground.

I have one question, Just wondering this mode is for fresh water with fog and jet function only or this conquest water monitor can be used in foam system with fog and jet function ?
Thanks for your question. The Conquest monitor can be paired with either fixed baffle or automatic nozzles. The nozzles are designed for reach and vapor mitigation. All of them offer straight (jet) stream to wide fog. The Conquest is also great for use with foam systems. Can we assist you with any more questions? Would you like to speak to an engineer?

The pumper at the beginning of this video is still in service. I just worked on it today.
Is it necessary to be connected to a VDR to view any files? I have a .vdr "raw" file saved to my computer but cannot open it with viewer.
Figured it out. I cleared out the "Program Data > Weldon > VDR > record data" folder after image, and saved the .vdr file to my case file folder. After copying the .vdr "raw" file back to the original folder, the viewer works fine.
Thanks for the question Jonathan. Once the .vdr file is saved into the C:\ProgramData\Weldon\VDR ecord data folder it becomes available to the VDR Viewer program. At that point a live connection is no longer necessary. In general there are two reasons why a .vdr file may not open from the Viewer 1. The ecord data folder is cluttered with too many previous .vdr files (Remove the old files) 2. The current .vdr file is too large (Do the extraction again but with a narrower date range) Be aware that Windows by default hides the entire ProgramData path. The user must have Windows ‘unhide’ the path.

Using the joystick, you can open the valve electrically. The forestry monitor comes with a joystick. You may also use an electric valve controller or use manual valve control. How many flash patterns does it have?
I believe they offer normal - effective patterns. For instance no split light patterns. While I like the lightheads overall, I see a lot of the Diamondbacks set to some ridiculous chasing circle patterns that look like a three ring circus. Common sense needs to be used when setting the patterns. If you've got a lighthead with 6 LED's why make your output less effective by using only 3 at a time with split patterns?
