    I had a colostomy, then a colostomy reversal plus ileostomy. Now it has been 2 months since ileostomy and I am due for ileostomy reversal surgery. My recovery from both the colostomy as well as ileostomy was quite painful and long. I had ileus (bowel paralysis) a few days after my ileostomy. ~Now everything is fine. There is no pain and I can eat what I like. I am concerned about what side effects there will be after the ileostomy reversal surgery. Is anal incontinence a concern after ileostomy reversal? Or will things get back to normal ever? How long does it take for things to get back to normal? Also, how long after ileostomy reversal surgery can one join back office (work)?

      @@lekshmymoney6970 I experienced incontinence for the first few months or so, but it was only in my sleep. While awake I was ok, just super painful when I needed to use the restroom (still this way), but total loss of control only came about while I was sleeping. As far as recovery, it’s different for everyone unfortunately. There’s no clear cut healing time. For me, I’m still “healing” even though I’m diagnosed chrons disease with pouchitis now. It does get better, my advice would be eat as healthy as you can, rest when you can, and try to pay close attention to when you eat and what causes pain.

    the pain you have still on your side. I read another person had that after take down, 5 years of it, a surgeon and a neurolagist found trapped nerves, they moved them to nearby soft tissue, problem solved. To find out a nerve block can isolate it. Also, what I have done, it really helped me. Ketamine IV infusions. If there is no tissue damage a trapped nerve it resets the brain to not feel paqin there anymore. Its done wonders for my mental state, i still need more surgery but it has given me hope again. I'm not giving medical advice, i'm just sharing what could help and worth looking into.

    Dude you are so on point! I am Christian and have tried to explain this to others. Bible says don’t drink to the point of drunkenness or to be a drunkard repeatedly in the Bible. Both NT & OT. Additionally, Jesus lived an absolutely sinless life. If this is true, turning water into wine is surely not a sin nor a stumbling block for others. Especially considering it being his first miracle. Furthermore, anyone who knows anything about “wine” knows you always drink the best wine first and leased quality after. The man said you have saved the best for last. Which is unheard of and something no one ever does. This also proves that the wine is a fermented alcoholic beverage and most definitely not grape juice. Otherwise the scripture wouldn’t make any sense and the Bible never contradicts itself, or incorrect and always true as it is God’s word.

    Hey 👋 I just watched your video and a few others. I also had an ileostmy done in 2019 then had the take down in 2020. I’m 4 years post op now. I was curious if you had any of the symptoms I’m still experiencing. I get intense muscle cramps or contraction where the reversal was done when “going”. My intestines are so loud now even after all this time. I have had people hear it from across the room, when on the phone talking and even several rooms away. I also feel everything that passes where the reversal was done. Wondering if you have or still do experience any of this. I totally appreciate your video!! It’s the first of it’s kind. I’ve been searching for years for anything on the internet of others experiences year/s after takedown and it’s pretty much nonexistent. Thanks so much!

  • @Lupebuena
    @Lupebuena Před 6 měsíci

    Have you ever known anyone that is an alcoholic? How could even taking a drink be ok!? We are called not to make others stumble. And it’s very easy for people to abuse alcohol especially for those people that have loved ones that have this sickness of drinking! If you are a true follower even a drink is not ok. You can stumble, as well be the reason for others to stumble and get drunk.

    • @FishingWithGuero
      @FishingWithGuero Před 6 měsíci

      Yeah, my entire family. If proverbs 25:28 can’t be practiced, then I agree, don’t drink. That doesn’t disregard the fact the Bible doesn’t say you can’t have alcohol and be Christian. Which is precisely the point of the video. Scripture isn’t left up to opinionated interpretation, telling someone they can’t drink because you feel they shouldn’t, doesn’t make them less of a Christian, if they’re able to do it appropriately in accordance with scripture.

    • @user-om9ce3sx2q
      @user-om9ce3sx2q Před 5 měsíci

      We are born in sin and there fore are predisposed to sin and the sins of our farther that are passed along in man’s seed. However, if you know that someone is a sex addict does that mean you shouldn’t have sexual relations with your spouse? I think not. How ever you would be sensitive to there situation. Or if someone has an eating disorder and addiction to food do you then not eat in their presence? You can then apply that thought process to anything that might be a struggle to others. Obviously you would refrain from drinking in their company but the absolutely dose not mean you are prohibited from drinking all together and in the privacy of your own home. I was married to someone who struggled with drug addiction and sometimes alcohol was a problem. I would never drink around him but it doesn’t make it a sin for me to drink when not around him.

Decided to go for the reversal surgery due to ‘cosmetic issues’ really. He wanted to take off his shirt on the holiday etc and wasn’t feeling comfortable with the pouch. Had his j pouch surgery 5 months ago and 2 days ago had ileostomy reversal surgery. So far he is doing great, got discharged from the hospital on the second day as his bowel worked good from the start. For this moment I’m only giving him slow cooked chicken soup with a little salt. In the soup I give him a little carrots, little parsnips and coriander and tiny pasta. For a second meal he is having that chicken from the soup with mash potatoes (no milk etc) and he is doing amazing. Going to the toilet around 6 times a day. Hoping everything will go well x
