Thailand’s $36BN Mega Land Bridge Project
The Kra Canal could have transformed global shipping. Yet, despite being revisited over the centuries, it remains unbuilt. Now, however, the Thai government supports the $36 billion Mega Land Bridge Project, which features two new deep-water ports in Ranong in the west and Chumphon in the east, acting as major international shipping hubs. In this video, we explore why the Kra Canal never took off and consider whether a land bridge might be a better solution.

Los Angeles could have been a lot further ahead in its public transport development if at least one of four things happened: 1. The interurban and streetcar trolley systems were maintained instead of abandoned and torn up. 2. One of the earlier rapid transit construction referenda (1949, '68, '74) was approved. 3. One of the German monorail construction firm's offers to build monorails was accepted. 4. A triggered local Congressman and Republicans in Congress hadn't voted to stop subway construction within the city due to a 1985 methane explosion under a Ross Dress For Less shop.

Great solution way cheaper and energy efficient than reverse osmosis. Other western states need more water that can come from the Mississippi river. Also a solution to end flooding problems for New Orleans is to build water pipelines, preferably next to major highways to expedite and facilitate the construction, to use the Mississippi river excess water to refill Lake Powell and Lake Mead is important for National security as it allows greater agriculture instead of the current curtailment. It also allows food exports which improves global security and dollar strength through greater exports. We should strive for enough excess agriculture to create a grain food bank like China. One option is a pipeline from Memphis area reservoir or Keokuk reservoir to Lake Powell. 2-axis floating solar on Lake Mead and Lake Powell could be used to maximize solar power hours and use the excess solar power for pumping water through the pipelines. The Western USA has a lot of agriculture potential with agrivoltaics, a win win with water being a limiting factor. The Western mega drought is curtailing farming. The USA needs a new pipeline from the massive excess water Louisiana Mississippi River bypass (Atchafalaya flood way basin) to Colorado River reservoirs could solve all the west mega drought problems and be great for agriculture and pay for itself. The Arizona, Western USA and New Orleans water crisis is easy to solve with a pipeline from the Atchafalaya flood way basin in Louisiana that would take excess flow from the Mississippi River and store it in lake Mead or lake Powell. Cost $21 Billion, but it will pay for itself and make a lot of money with an expansion of agriculture in the West. Call your Senators and Representative to request support for the "Coalition For A National Infrastructure Bank" H.R. 4052, which is an excellent plan to build a pipeline from the Atchafalaya flood way basin using only a small percentage to refill Lake Mead and Powell. Search for nibcoalition national-infrastructure-bank-petition-water-crisis Call Congress for HR4052 and Share Her is plenty of water if we actually stop dumping it in the Gulf of Mexico. Call your Senators and Representative to request support for the "Coalition For A National Infrastructure Bank" which has an excellent plan to build a pipeline from the Atchafalaya flood way basin using only a small percentage to refill Lake Mead and Powell. According to Wikipedia, "The Mississippi River floods most years, usually in late spring when runoff is at its peak. The intensity of flooding can vary from year to year, and some years can be devastating. For example, the Great Mississippi Flood of 1927 was one of the most destructive floods in US history, destroying thousands of homes and businesses. The 2019 flood was also significant, lasting 235 days and surpassing the 1927 flood's record of 152 days above flood stage. "

Our fisheries have really suffered lately, but that's from unregulated over fishing. @@Doubleshake one of the fastest growing cities in the country, and it has always been that way since its creation, the city said to have the most potential in the country, The more it stands out and more random of a city, the more recognition the tower gets, if it was in Chicago or nyc, it wouldn’t get the same level of tourism or recognition because it’s expected. That’s why so many people are making videos on it, people wouldn’t make videos on it if it was in New York. Dubai was a lot less known than OKC in the early 2000s yet they built the tallest building in the world, that building is what led to it getting as big as it did, there is a extremely high chance that this tower would do the exact same for OKC if built. OKC is also known for a lot of other stuff than the thunder, the biggest act of terrorism in history before 9/11 (the OKC bombing), some of the countries most known Route 66 attractions, multiple famous museums, inventing stuff used world wide, like the shopping cart, or voice mail, being the birthplace of some country wide businesses, like sonic, or loves. OKC is a great place for this tower, they want it to stick out to get that more tourism, so what better place to put it, than a top 5 city for business, a top 5 growing city, one of the most well known medium sized cities, one of the most improving cities, the city ranked to be the best managed in the country, the city ranked the 16th best place to live, and 10th best for college students.
