For some reason I found this so funny.

I've been watching that 'boo' speech since I was a little girl. Gets me every freakin time.

The implication that Westley's investment of time and resources makes Buttercup obligated to marry him bugs me. I know Fred's character is a child and doesn't mean to reduce her to a commodity that can be "bought" with favors, but Peter's character (the grandfather) also thinks nothing of this idea of "fairness"... Buttercup and Westley's love isn't transactional. He does show her his feelings through small, consistent actions just as she shows hers through grand words and (sometimes foolish) gestures. The love itself, however, exists beyond such concerns and gives them a foundation to keep hoping and finding their way back together.

I love this whole clip. "It is my father's failing health that's upsetting her." "Of course." "My father's final words were 'Love her' as I loved her. And there will be joy." "Yes, you're very smart: shut up." And the booing scene is great. Like all good comedy, it's funny but also so true.
