I'm back with a small quick guide on how to mod Valheim for anyone wondering how its done. Obviously some people enjoy the base game and don't have to mod it. but if you've watched people play it modded then wondered how to do it yourself here's a quick way on how to get R2modman installed and i show how to install a pack someone else has sent you via a code.

This one took a while too but we are finally on track to getting videos for valheim out regularly! So stay tuned for next weekend, we will finally be pushing our way to fight bonemass. I have a feeling we will do it with ease.. unless he spawns with multiple stars then we have a problem. This video wasnt my favorite to work on since i had lost a lot of progress. But im not too worried about it ...

Welcome back to more modded valheim! even though i missed out on some points by forgetting to record and grab a vod. i still think i did a great job showing everything thats important that weve done, seen and gone through. In the first episode of the series, im joined by the homie hauxxer and we go on a journey into modded valheim. Something weve wanted to do for a long time. So with the right mods picked out and making sure things run right we finally got started. We are looking forward to playing several different survival games, modded and unmodded in the future but decided to start with valheim. theres so man...

@James2210 its appreciated! I enjoy the game and i know alot of others do to. So before i continued playing i wanted others to know how they could get started themselves!
If I am running a game through a server host such as G-Portal, would I be able to use this same process? It didn't look like they had a lot of mod options through their portal, so I wasn't sure how to go about it.
@FX-in7yp now iv never used a constant server for valheim modded. But gportal does say it runs with mods im just not sure how to set it up since i havent gotten that far yet. If you get it running i would appreciate it if you let me know in the future how well it runs.
Why carnt developers Mack there games like this in the first place 🤷
i can see why they dont. i can see the game getting more in depth with some stuff mods do have to offer once they've finished off the worlds "story". it would make sense to start small finish the main point of the game then add more to it later on.

@Wxleace yessir! Just as long as your friends install the same mods that you have installed. The only thing you cant do is have friends from xbox join you! But as long as the game and mods are all updated you should all be able to play together!!

YO DUDE, Thank you for the tutorial I've been wanting to play modded valheim for forever! What Mods do you recommend?
Personally im a fan of mods that are QoL changes so maybe the mods that add different skills, Evasion, Tenacity or Vitality. But i love changes to mobs and making them harder which in that case use the CreatureLevelandLootControl mod.

It definitely still works. It controls the stars and different types of stars and it ads elemental varients. Im currently using it now. If you have the bepInExPack_valheim i think you press F1 and it opens a control panel to mess with the effects. But it definitely still works.
Recycle n' Reclaim and Ore Support are my two biggest ones. Maybe the ingame clock as well? BepInExPack_valheim and BepInEx Configuration Manager are required
@James2210 that sounds dope whats the Recycle n reclaim? Is it something that disassembles items for refundable materials?

Have you updated since the update?
We have an updated version of the pack i can get you a code when i get the chance later on today. It adds a few more mods. And it still has some of the older mods to continue using for those that used the original pack.

Is there a mod list? What mod adds the thumbnail creature? I play a heavily modded game (319 mods right now), and haven't see those enemies. Please clue me in. Is it "Outsiders" by UnJohnny?
that would be Outsiders by UnJohnny V1.5.5, if you would like my whole modpack to browse it i can definitely provide you a code for it so you can have a look yourself!
@@JustBlaza Thanks, you have all the mods I have. I've just never seen the Birch Elder, for some reason it's never spawned. To be fair, I just switched from manual modding to using r2modman, so that should help.

@@JustBlaza My wife and I play this together. I've kinda gotten away from Valheim to play some other games, but when I stepped away, I had 1101 hours in. We only play modded now. And I've just gotten back into it, so I should rack up some more hours soon.

we have updated the pack and the first part with the updated pack will be releasing soon! 018f956a-edf5-4c50-62fb-01fba8ab93ea heres the code theres a bit more mods in this version than the previous one. it has the same mods as the previous we just added more to it! Im currently working on a pack slightly adjusted, so I'll get you that as soon as it's put together, and i know it's working!
i think with updates mod works now but somehow my base near deep north is floating in the ocean now do u myb know a fix
every other part of map is ok idk how this happened
@Wrothl are you on a world that you used before ashlands dropped? If your base is above water or floating in general. It sounds like when the game updated the world generation for old worlds also changed. So i dont think theres a fix for this.

@@FullCaber 018f4b9a-3829-2b91-da01-5326def48f2f heres a smaller version of the pack i give everyone else i took all the building aspects and mods and put them into a smaller playlist. so you should be good to use this and mess around and do some unique building stuff with this. ashlands does release soon im guessing so be aware when the game update drops the mods will need to catch up and update!!!

have you made sure your mods are updated? i just booted mine up and had no issue other than it sat at a Valheim screen for a few minutes before it got me to the main menu. Im on my modded world now and it doesnt seem like im missing anything or having issues.

@@nopenopen0p382 its no problem! just be aware when the full update drops for valheim mods will probably take a bit of time to update and you may have to play vanilla for a few days.

Valheims ashlands update might be coming soon so if that launches just be prepared to wait for the mods to update incase the game breaks from them not being updated. might take a bit of time just giving a heads up!

I dislike how often youre making it seem like Valheim is a game that has to be modded and is lacking quality by missing all this extra stuff
You make a very good point, the game has more than enough to offer for people that want to experience it. i dont mean it to come off as it HAS to be modded to enjoy. its very much a enjoyable game without the mods.
If you’ve played this game through afterwards it needs mods mainly because updates are slow (understandably)
@RyanA678 it is a good thing that they take time though. They get to experiement with new types of gameplay and it gives moders a chance to try something different in their own way too. Both ways to play the game are great. Excited for the next update too.

Yes! Did you edit any configs or is this just a mashup of mods? I'm trying to figure out what works for the current version of the game since a lot of mods aren't updated@@JustBlaza
@@jutraim2422 weve done a little bit of messing with configs but not a lot. i think F1 brings up a in game config menu? i cant remember the button off the top of my head. But its what you have to use to get the extra star types and enemy types turned on.
