IS THIS THE BEST SEDAN TOYOTA EVER MADE? | 2019 Toyota Avalon review
I own a 2017 Toyota Avalon Limited!! Mine is all black outside and inside!!! Like the 3.5 V6 with the 6 speed Trans. Don’t like CVT transmissions with the Hybrid engine. I think the modern cars have too much plastic inside and outside the body. Recently had to buy bumper brackets for the front bumper… Very common problem in lot of the Toyota cars or other model cars with these plastic bumpers!!! My last two cars were a 2004 Buick LeSabre and 2001 Camry had harder plastic bumpers made a lot better back then. Obviously I’m an old school guy that loves the classic chrome bumper cars back in the day easy to work on!!!
Nice!! I definitely prefer older vehicles myself. They were all better built back then and used better materials. Older toyotas were the best around the 90s and 2000s
Love my 2018 tundra with 6" lift.
Probably a pin hole in the radiator. Happened to mine. Replace the radiator.
Yup. It's also looking a little yellowed
Pretty neat. Can you show the leg space left on both sides? (front/back)
I went to Denver from Pa to buy a high mileage 07 CM with 213,000 on it. Never had any hesitation about driving it back to Pa.. I now have 245,000+ on it and it runs like a Swiss watch. I did a FULL maintenance on it when I got back, and I even replaced the radiator and H2O pump just to be sure. Also got it undercoated with New Hampshire oil to keep the rust at bay. There was zero rust on the truck when I got it and I intend to keep it that way. By the pre-face lift. It's cheaper and is the exact same truck except for sheet metal and a few minor interior improvements. The white truck is just a Tundra grade. It would say SR if it was.
Wow. That's amazing. I wouldn't mind driving several hours for a Tundra if I knew it was everything I wanted
@@ErvayAutoReviews I would have driven to Seattle to get a clean truck. Not like the chit we have here in Pa..
"and now, a word from our sponsor"
It absolutely is. I just bought one. Blue ext, black interior haha. The black interior looks so much better in person than in pictures.
got the one with the touch display or with the inbuilt?
Congratulations!! This is definitely my dream car.
Just got a 2024 TRD Off Road Premium, love that thing.
AHH NICE! That's the final year! Keep it!!!
@@ErvayAutoReviews Thanks. I will keep it, maybe for just 300,000 miles though. Ha !
Yep🤙 On reserve ✅
Nice! What color?
@@ErvayAutoReviews White first preference.
Change out your lower ball joints. 60K miles would not be to soon.
What's the carfax?
Sequia quality is not close to the Land Crusier quality IMO
That bottle is the radiator overflow bottle. Hot water/fluid from the radiator normally will overflow into that bottle which is normal. As it cools down it is sucked back into the radiator. This bottle is normally empty.
Not all wheel drive with a center locker only. They are 2wd with AWD and then it's 4x4 with the center locker engaged, on top of that traction control.
2014 1794
It’s the truck that I bought it 2024. Only difference is mine is a 2020 with 31k miles.
Did you replaced the water pump when you did the timing belt? Maybe it’s leaking from there?
Yes. The timing belt includes the belt, tensioner, pulleys and water pump. Probably just a hidden hole somewhere
I’ve got an 05 Limited with 196k on it. I love it. And it will run another 20 years with proper care.
I love my 2020 SR5 Double Cab in Quicksand with the tow package. So far, just done larger tires, tow mirrors, blackout emblems, led interior and reverse lights. Future mods will be Rear Active suspension, Eibach Pro Truck lift, and Rear sway bar. Truck has given me zero problems over the past 3 years of ownership. I’d absolutely recommend a 2 or 2.5 gen Tundra if you need a reliable “no frills” truck for towing/hauling and cruising the highway.
I love it!! Hopefully you keep it for years to come
Just got a 2021 Tundra crew max sr5 but with trd wheels lol and a bed cover with the bench seat and column shifter 45k miles 47k they were asking I got them to 42
Nice!! I hope you keep it until the wheels fall off! Congrats 👏
Good choice
I drove a sequoia for an hour once and the seating position is a major reason I have eliminated Toyotas. Granted they have held up well except for rust on the frame. I have a 2005 Yukon Denali with great reliability and excellent seating position which means you can drive it all day without being fatigued
Hm I'm not sure what you mean. I drive mine on 12 hour legs and super comfortable.
What year? The 2nd gen sequoia is great for long road trips. You have great seating position and thigh extenders
Thing is I see tons of Avalons on the road but I have yet to see its replacement the Crown on the road
@rickymack2611 true. They've been out for about 2 years now and I've only ever seen around 5 my whole life lol
Short answer, no.
As far as styling, I think they are the worst looking truck on the market but hey different strokes for different folks. As far reliability, they are on the bottom of the list with that new engine too.
Good car but so sad no timing chain 😊like in 5.7 next generation
Who the hell wants a crapload of red leather? I own a 2019 Tundra Pro and I think the red stitching is a bit much. I’d never buy a red interior vehicle. Red is a feminine color.
I quite like the red interior. To each his own! But I would probably buy the black interior
@@ErvayAutoReviews Yeah I think we all got how you felt about the red interior. I thought you were going to buy it house and propose to it.
Not this year, I'm waiting for them to fix and tweak the problems before buying a new one. Although I'm on the Seqouia market instead of the Tundra.
If they were reasonably priced 😂
🤮 inside and out 🤮
No keep ot
Im not a fan of tundras front grill . But i love tacoma trd pro ,4runner trd pro im waiting for 4 runner trd pro here in mexico 2025 to buy one 🎉 love them
seems like they are lower priced with all the recalls and stuff going on. might be a chance to snag one
I have a 2021 tundra crewmax in cement grey 4x4 love my truck. I would never consider trading for a new gen.
Ahh lucky!! Top 5 colors right there !
I live in Florida where cars don’t rot out. Floridians first rule in buying cars is never buy an up north car lol. But I’m going to look at a Toyota today. So thanks for the video.
Lol, yeah while we may have rust buckets, yall have flooded cars 😆. Hopefully you can find something good. Best of luck and thanks
@@ErvayAutoReviews lol it flooded in one hurricane most of those cars were totally demolished. My truck now is 26 years old and as solid as it was brand new
Only buy a Tundra equipped with a V8. Leave the new ones alone.
Definitely! I agree
1st gen sequoias are pretty damn good if you maintain them.
Sure did! Love it! 5 months and 4300 miles in! No issues at all (knock wood)
Definitely not the new gen at least yet
I did. No regrets
I'd love that truck with the 4.7L V8 or the doublecab in Cavalry Blue (best color ever).
The 4.7 is the best!!
This Beauty is 19 years old and is in better shape than many new and definately most 5 year old cars it will perform as new and its body integrity and finish retains its youthful appearance defying its age very few 19 year old cars can compare at this price point new then or used now ❤
No not close best toyotas were mid 90s to 2006 or so.
I have an 04 with 209k and I love it. My wife loves it too. I expect to get 500k out of it at least.
Thats great to hear!! 04 is the best year too
No V6 and to much good bye toyota said
Naw, I’ll pass and yes, I’ve already test drove one. I’ll hang with my bought and paid for😳 2022 Tacoma trd pro……..
Good choice !!
I love my third gen. I’ll stick with it for now.
I WOULD NOT BUY A VEHICLE MADE IN MEXICO, THEIR TECHS DON'T SHAKE A LEG AT THOSE IN JAPAN. BUY JAPANESE MADE TOYOS
Yes I would buy it
No......they've got to get the kinks worked out of them. should have never left their workhorses. ( Motors/Drive train)
After a couple years to work the bugs out, sure I’m in
