Regrets kinda! Chevys 4 speeds were smooth and if you timed your motor and shift right you could walk through the gears without a clutch. I had to do it once from middle indiana to pensacola Florida. Timed what traffic lights I had to go through or come off interstate for gas, had alot of emery cloth sanding to do on input shaft where throw out bearing went when I got down there and up on ramps with starter! But back to her! Teaching a female a clutch! Lol. Only if you jad a wide open field! I had a 65 fastback 2+2 mustang when I was young and into marriage, stuffed a 351 in it, had a small splined 70 302 boss 4 speed in it with a 9 inch 411s , I put her in drivers seat once trying to teach her on a back road, out of town, take it easy, slow on clutch but not to slow! Not to much gas, but enough to go! She killed it first time, second time was sideways and off road and almost in ditch with a creek there! Was enough for me!! Didn't want car wreaked! So when I bought camero I went with automatic!! 4 speeds are fun and what we are supposed to do! But got tired of dealing with clutches, throw out bearings pressure plates, turning flywheel, shifters and all that. Automatics with shift kits and stalls convertor were so much easier and trouble free! If a 4 speed all works perfect you can't ask for more!

I bought my first new car it was a 76 rally sport, Lt. Blue with black top and hood. Was a good car other than the reconditioned metal gm used 74 to 77. And scabs would show up on quarters rusting inside out in spots you couldn't stop. Gm said they didnt have enough complaints to do anything about it! I talked dealer down to 4800 , mic insurance package for drivetrain, and undercoating. Went with rally sport for wife to drive automatic. I wanted a used LT type 74 350 4 speed they had but knew she couldn't go for the stick shift! No Z28 in 74 to 77, but Lt type might as well been one. Had it all other than emblems. Then they came out with 77-1/2, Z28 alum .bumpers, tear drop sticker on hood, ect. Then finally 78 to 81 had Z28s back with 350s. Love the cameros body style. Just simple and nice contours. Look great with torque thrust alum. Wheels and more but got to have rear spoilers on them. Love the 70 split bumper cars!

48-51 is the ones I want. Or the 43-58 dodge power wagon civilian version 4x4 beast.
