Ah, it does shave you can see the hair pile up at the base of the blade…
Cool

Shrek have called and he wanted his swamp back and you took it. 😅

Cool jesse
Wow that is cool. are you fencing with the new sord you made at fencing 😂
Or you could buy one at your local convenience store for $30.
@@glenbo02 Well that’s no fun.
Wow Jesse what a knife ❤
Have you ever tried using Hastelloy? I don't know how it would work for knives but it's a high nickel based stainless steel. Might be worth goofing around with.
I think I have some filler rod for welding that stuff but haven’t been around it much. Probably isn’t a good knife steel at least for the edge. It would be worth experimenting with someday.
Wow Jesse
Nice job.
Thanks
5:32 Praying Mantis has entered the film.
What's up with the asmr at the end? 😂
Ya, the mic might have been working a little too well. Lol
Wow Jesse you sure a pro on the knives and sords
I'm looking forward to seeing this one. The true beauty of a sword is when it comes alive in the hands.
I’ll be sure to bring it along and it has been fun to cut with.
Smart
Waiting on bitties ❤
Damn ur good lol
So I will drop a tip (and Im no swordmaking expert, but maybe you will find it useful) - you said the blade is more flexible, than you would like (which indeed was very noticeable in a sparring, that was my first thought :D ). One of the less obvious ways to stiffen it would be to forge the fuller instead of grinding it
Cool
Nicely done!
Cool 😎
Thats the most awesome creation
My dad has a assassin's creed sord
That sord that you made is cool
These knives creations are cool jesse
These knife you made is awesome my good ole buddy Jesse.
Woah Jesse this is cool. I wish you can teach me how to create these tools. 😮
Underrated channel
Wow Jesse you sure made good blacksmiths and knives. 😊
Hey I think this guy's pretty cool.
2:26 "so how was the taco bell?"
How did they add the groove on a blade's side historically? Would they carve it in by hand, not unlike the polishing you do at 3:53 (only with a sharper tool and for much longer)?
The bulk of the work making a fuller historically would typically involve forging or hand scraping. Then the finishing work for the desired polish.
8:59 this reminds me of skyrims random encounters Just two people going at it
Looks fantastic! Never knew sabers were that "flimsy", I was shocked watching how they flex during that duel.
Noice! I followed him
I’d know that red and black fencing gear from anywhere!! Hey David!!!!!
Yep that's a nice sword. Looks like it only took a couple little nicks during testing.
Amazing work! Keep em coming! Was the blade a bit too flexible maybe? I realy love how the basket hilt looks , its amazing!!
It is overly flexible but seems to work. It is intimidating as a competitor to it because it is awkward to parry. I don’t think it would do well against a heavy troopers weight blade. I wanted it flexible for safety reasons and less likely to brake, but it is definitely more wobbly than I wanted.
Awesome! It looks extremely fun to wield too. Once more, amazing work and have fun!
Woah that sabre is a stunner, especially the guard, handle and backstrap! I love the swept guard you built, it's a little wider spread out than you normally see and I think that's a good look! How heavy did the guard end up being? The bands looked thicker than ive seen before on other sabres, so I'm curious about that.
I never actually weighed any part of it. Initially I was real worried it would be way to heavy. That’s why I cut a bunch out with a carbide bur. The video doesn’t show much of that. That’s the main reason for the grooves/dimples in the guard. Then I actually added weight near the tang pein to change the balance. Overall the entire thing has decent balance. I don’t have the sheet metal equipment to roll the edge over like I want for a regular dueling sabre. Because of that I went with the multi bar style.
Great job. You can tell that your hard work really payed off!
Very well done on the blade! Something you mighr want to note, is that it wasnt clear who had the new saber whrn you were fencing. The only way i was able to figure it out was because of how david worded the short he made. Other than that, great video!
Good point. We swapped towards the end so it makes it that much harder. Thanks for the advice!
this is awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Sick
