Painted Canyon 1
zhlédnutí 2,7KPřed 13 lety
This is a geology lesson in which you are asked to figure out what caused the unusual rock layers of Painted Canyon in the Mecca Hills, CA. Feel free to email me with your interpretation. You can find a worksheet with pictures at www.hwscience.com/Geology/Honors/Units/Defornation and Metamorphic Rocks chap 8/Painted Canyon Geology Lesson.doc

mud volcanoes
zhlédnutí 992Před 13 lety
The mud volcanoes of the Salton Sea result from geothermal activity of the diverging plates below the area, which is below sea level. The CO2 released from the magma below the surface bubbles up thorugh the mud, creating these mounds.

very intresting and informational
it's the best video I've seen so far thankssss
LUOA really rocks
FR
LUOA on TOP
I'm in love with this woman's explanations. They've taught me so much about my homelands geography and helped me identify certain rocks I find, so helpful! Thank you so much!.
thank you!! you were absolutely amazing and super delightful
Awesome explanation Thank you very much
SUPERB video
In Spain also we have glacial landforms czcams.com/video/jVCaPNXRVRo/video.html
I absolutely adore this video. Incredibly entertaining and informative.
Bahut zabardast explanation
In spain there are the Monte per dido glacier. Immortal, czcams.com/video/_u0V7ddgPd0/video.html
goos explained and clear thank you value knowledge
Best explanation so far
I wish I found it in search during my graduation period.. first time I really understand the topic 🫡❤️
This is just delightful
What a superb video 👍👍👍👍
Nice well explained operator
Awesome !!!!!!!
Geologists only think and talk about periods of millions of years. They have different methods for determining the age of rock layers. However, there is one small problem. Ancient books tell us that a cycle of natural disasters threatens the earth and all living things. The cause of this cycle of disasters is a ninth planet in our solar system orbiting the sun in an eccentric orbit. Features of the natural disaster include a massive tidal wave, higher than the highest mountain, flooding, storms, rain, volcanic eruptions, earthquakes, and a fiery asteroid bombardment. That planet is surrounded by a gigantic twisting cloud of dust and meteorites. That cloud obscures the atmosphere, pollutes the water and covers the whole planet Earth with that dust. At the end of the crossing of this planet 9, the earth is covered with a horizontal layer of wet mud, a mixture of sand, clay, lime, fossils of sea and land animals, shells and the deposit of that dust cloud and asteroids. So in every layer on our planet we will find material of the same antiquity, perhaps many millions of years old: the deposit of extraterrestrial clay and meteorites. Even the youngest, topmost earth layer, which is less than 6,000 years old, also includes the same very old deposit. If you don't know about this cycle, you have no idea how our history has evolved. To learn much more about planet 9, the recurring flood cycle and its timeline, the re-creation of civilizations and ancient high technology, read the e-book: "Planet 9 = Nibiru". It can be read on any computer, tablet or smartphone. Search: invisible nibiru 9
The facies does not define an environment but rather defines a process responsible for its formation, but the association of facies defines on the other hand the environments of deposit. Thank you for your effort
Thank you Wendy for this succinct and easily digestible presentation. I also compliment you on your knowledge of the meaning of "paternoster" and it's association with the Rosary. Now, just one little point of contention concerning aretes. From my scant knowledge of French the word "stop" in French is spelled "arrete" - two r's as opposed to "arete" (accent over the middle e) translating roughly to "fish bone" - a description of the abrupt cutting edge of these ridges. Mere academia perhaps but is one more correct than the other?
Thank you. I’m a visual learner and this video helps my understanding. Great job.
Hi had a doubt can u clarify
Thanks!
IF you search up ice age on CZcams, National Geographic had copied the illustrations of the glacial part and used it in their video lol
m
i saw becouse of study
This has to be one of the best explanations of glacial landforms available on CZcams in one place.
I’ve never before heard “topography” pronounced as “toe-puh-graphic”, but always as “top-uh-graphic”.
Ashley Bryant GOL 106 V1. I learned that a Facias can occur in any type of rock and can have almost any type of markings as long as it has "characteristics that correspond to a particular environment," that give some sort of information about the environment that the rock formed in.
it sounds like microsoft azure speaking
i immensfully thank you :-)
Awesome explanation, was struggling to understand these from months and today I found this video!
Been to many places in this video...saw it for myself :-)
Hello, does anybody know the textbook these diagrams are taken from? Could prove useful for revision. Thank-you.
Here from luoa, lmaoo
yup
very nice presentation, beautifully explained
Are streams could be considered as rivers?
Gabriele Shires GOL 106 V1 Fall 2020 this is helpful. Thank you.
thank you very much ma'm,,
I wish she could teach me more on anything, the way she teaches seems simple but yet with a little bit of humor.
CRYSTAL clear explanation :)

The sound of the pen or whatever was so satisfying
I agree. Perfect asmr.
Beautifully explained,I was having hard time to grasp these glacier erosional landforms merely by books.🙏🙏
Wile writing the sound will disturb us
Can be more better
Nice
Telling truth
hi can i see the part 1 professor wendy ?
I am looking for an explanation on 'crag and tail' and ' Roche Montanees'
I understood in a single Minute!
but the video is around 10 minutes long XD.
