Well, suede is made from leather and alcantara is made of polyester and polyamide; so, kind of. Alcantara is designed to pick up the slack where authentic suede leaves off. Think of it more as a man-made continuation and practical improvement on suede. That said, this job looks terrible lmao

Am I the only who HATES the look af alcantara ??? Even in expensive cars that come with it. Ughh look at how it looks so like cheap. It has like this old faded look of grey-ish and black eww. Probably should have went for like a shiny piano black or matte black or carbon fiber. Those look so much cleaner but "newer looking" than alcantara.

Looks shit like this when you do the dash and console. If they just did the dash it would look decent.
It looks shit because is made with a fake suede of the worst quality, alcantara is on another level, it looks and feels high quality and it doesn't appear dirty like this one looks.
@@plaio80suede and alcantara are not the same material. Suede is a natural material created from leather while alcantara is polyester based. Alcantara of any and all kinds is, by definition, fake suede lmao this job in particular just looks terrible because they used far too much in a car that looks terrible to begin with 😂
