My review of the install of Mark's e-fuel kit. Took me a couple days of working on it after work, but man what a difference. Fixed all my leaks, runs smoother, more responsive, and has to be better MPG than before with all the leaks

it's the kickdown but its missing the rod that has a threaded end on the opposite side.
I think it is the "Kickdown Lever" based on what I saw on other videos.

Looking good. I agree about changing the color of the seats, but I’m thinking keep the color of the convertible top as is. I think the tan top looks sharp. 😎
Yeah, the top is actually white, just dingy. The interior is now white and much better looking (IMHO). It runs better every day and even made it out to a few shows this summer. It's a fun cruiser for sure
Cool. I had one of these in a 2 door hard top (notch back/formal roof) gold with black vinyl top. Manual 3 on the tree 390-2bbl. 1998 to 2016. After 18 years, I was just ready for something a little bit different. So I sold it for a black 1970 Ford LTD. Thank you for sharing. I'm always fascinated to see how other people handle a car very similar to what I've owned. That's one of the best things about CZcams. People from all over the country and/or the world, sharing experiences very similar to mine.

Thanks. It's running great now. Better every day. Got the carb properly adjusted now to deal with the hesitation. Exhaust leak is fixed. Starts easy with one touch of the pedal whether it's hot or cold. I'm in Kentucky btw
Ahh, Kentucky... I was out there once on a vacation in September 1996. Had visited relatives and friends in Cincinnati, OH & Evansville, IN... and we crossed the river to visit the Louisville Slugger Bat Factory. During the tour, the guide pointed to a box of bats that were scheduled to be shipped out to Barry Bonds! (This kind of gives you an idea of how dated my story is! LOL). BTW... I live out in Oakdale, CA... about 90 miles east of San Francisco, in the Northern California Central Valley.
I had had problems with the carb in my '70 LTD as well. Turns out that there was a tear in a rubber diaphragm near the throttle body valve. No matter how much I tried to lean it out by turning the screws, I had always had a "chronically rich" situation that was never going to go away, so long as it was just letting gasoline roam as free as it wanted all the time (regardless of settings). Luckily someone who knew more about these things than I, was able to find the smoking gun that I probably never would have, and was able to repair/ rebuild it. Now the car runs the best it has since I bought it in April 2016.
