    I never watched this show, but how can anyone who lived in S.F. in the 1960s not feels deep pangs of nostalgia? What a great era that was for the City. (I refer to the early, not later, 1960s.) Funny, Herb Caen felt the same way about S.F. in the late 1930s, and San Franciscans of that era probably pined for the years bracketing the 1906 earthquake, and so on, dating back to Junipero Serra.

      @nelsonhernandez7123…..you can watch episodes on CZcams. I never saw it until 14 years ago when I purchased most of the series from a seller online. Very good show that did better in the ratings than THAT GIRL, which premiered two days after it on ABC in September of ‘66. It reminds one of BAREFOOT IN THE PARK. The background score is jazzy 60’s. The leads Peter Duel and Judy Carne are perfect.

      The scoring charts were written like that, for instance a main title intro or exiting end title, their is no full version, as it would interfere with the {Nielsen - main & end title jingle}

    I attended Cuesta College in 1974 and took up the alto sax, studied jazz with Warren Balfour eventually moved to clarinet, tenor sax, flute and piccolo. I was immediately drawn to Desmond's tone and expressive vibrato. Later I was moved by Stan Getz and later King Curtis. Desmond's unique facility and lyrical improvisation was mesmerizing to me and remains a huge influence on me to this day.

    Done by quite a few others, such as Bill Evans, Oscar Peterson, or vocal versions by Frank Sinatra, Barbra Streisand, Jack Jones. I love the way Paul Desmond "sings" this song with his sax. Played so sweetly that surely, Em is smiling.

    Extremely hip (and surprisingly Jazzy) music cues in the soundtrack, providing a textbook example of how the right musical bed can enhance a scene fantastically: Try to imagine the escape scene in this compilation without that soundtrack... BORING. Perhaps the Jazzy nature of the soundtrack is not so surprising... Mundell Lowe, the composer and conductor of it, was one of the best Jazz Guitarists who ever lived, and one of the nicest gentlemen I ever met... Sitting beside him on a plane trip from Mobile, AL (he was getting off in NY, I was flying on to Boston), all we talked about was TV scores and studio work.
