The KreMarie Floral Tutorial 3
Here we talk about another three ways to make Royal icing florals using two different tips: the Ateco 120 and the Wilton 125. The filament is Wilton 53.
I am using all americolor gels food coloring to color all of my icing here. As well as, Roxy and Rich edible luster dust in gold for the veining.
As with any florals with royal icing- practice and playing is the best ways to get the looks you want. Well... that and thick royal icing!! Too thin and these will definitely fall.
Have fun!

Hello! I tried making royal icing flowers for the first time yesterday and they would pipe fine, but settle super runny into each layer, so in the end they looked like one big blob. I mixed the icing until it had stiff peaks, but also didn’t use it for another couple of hours. Does it need to be used right away? I’m used to making flat cookies, so I don’t usually have to think about keeping the icing stiff. Please help! Thank you!!
