You might investigate some PTFE sheeting to reduce friction both under and over the chain.

I think it looks great dark. Alot of the older brick is darkand especially after years and years of weathered and so on. I think it turned out awesome.

I've seen many ways to do this so it's not important, only do it how it best suits you and that's fine. I've seen people make them from cork and so much more other ways with stencils and so on. All of them seem quite tedious or so much you have to do to get the right affect so that is why I am watching everyone's way and see which way is best for me. Where do you get your grout? I know it's super cheap at Home Depot and I couldn't believe how much they charge for it in small containers on other sites and slap a crafting grout label on it and so expensive.

What you have done here sir is nothing short of a work of art!! I hope your proud of your work, as you deserve to be, very well done,, 👍 I was thinking of doing something like this but in 1/12th scale for a nativity scene I'm doing, but with stone. I'm going to attempt marking and cutting a suitable flag stone leaving the natural grain facing out, and cut different size strips off it and break them in to smaller pieces, or stones!! And then build my wall with grout for mortar like you did. It's a tedious way of doing things but worth it!! I've already made 1000 Roman roof tiles from cornflakes box cardboard cut in to squares of inch and a half x inch, then soaked in water and each one lightly taped over some lengths of half inch wooden dowel before being left to dry and take the shape, followed by hand painting. The effort shows though.

I'm so glad I found your channel. I make the buildings and all for our DND group...we're in our 30's thru 60's and since the regular minis are too small for us, I make everything I can in your scale! No more guessing if I'm doing things right. I just follow your tutorials and tweek them to what we need. Thank you so much for making your dioramas so realistic! My grown children keep telling me to sell some pieces but I just don't have the time for that. lol...having too much fun updating what we have with your 'help'. oh and I'm sorry for my typing...english is my second language.
