How to Make a Delicious Glazed Ham - Easy Recipe for Any Occasion
This mouth-watering glazed ham recipe is perfect for any special occasion or family dinner. Made with a delicious combination of brown sugar, honey, soy sauce, mustard, pineapple juice, orange juice, vinegar, garlic, and ground cloves, this ham is sweet, tangy, and savory all at once. Ingredients
▢¼ cup unsalted butter
▢1 cup brown sugar packed
▢½ cup honey
▢1 tablespoon low-sodium soy sauce
▢3 tablespoons dijon mustard
▢3 tablespoons pineapple juice
▢2 tablespoons orange juice
▢1 tablespoon vinegar white wine, or cider
▢2 Cloves garlic minced
▢½ teaspoon ground cloves
▢Cooking spray
▢8 to 10 lb fully cooked ham unglazed if possible - unsliced or spiral
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 325°F/163°C. Spray a 9×13 inch roasting pan with baking spray or insert a roasting rack.
In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the brown sugar, honey, soy sauce, mustard, pineapple juice, orange juice, vinegar, garlic, and cloves. Stir until the mixture is smooth.
Cook the glaze mixture over medium heat for 5 to 7 minutes, stirring occasionally until it bubbles and thickens slightly. Remove from heat.
Let the glaze stand for a few minutes, and it will continue to thicken even more.
Place the unglazed ham in the pan cut side down or on its side in a rack in a roasting pan. Score the surface of the ham in a diamond pattern, about 1/4 inch deep.
Brush the ham with the glaze mixture, making sure to get the glaze into the scored cuts.
Cover with foil and bake, basting every 30 minutes.
For a bone-in ham, cook for approximately 15 to 18 minutes per pound. For a boneless ham, cook for approximately 18 to 20 minutes per pound.
Remove foil and bake at 425°F/218°C for 15 to 30 minutes to crisp the glaze.
Once the internal temperature of the ham reaches 140°F/60°C, remove it from the oven and let it rest for 15 to 20 minutes before slicing.
Serve the ham with the extra glaze on the side.

    This is how much spaghetti Bolognese you should get in a restaurant. Italian restaurants take note!! You pay £15 and you get nothing on a large white plate. Dining out at italian restaurants has become an absolute joke lately. Minimum effort maximum profit😢 That's why I cook my own italian. I no longer order pasta from Italian restaurants.😢

    I made this cake, and it was absolutely delicious, after cooled and frosted! I refrigerated it because of the cream cheese icing. When I went to get another piece later on, it was very dry like old bread. My next piece I zapped in the microwave thinking it would moisten back up, but it still wasn't as moist as my 1st piece. I followed the recipe to the "T", all ingredients were room temperature, so I'm baffled as to why this happened. I'm Sicilian and consider myself a pretty good cook and baker, so I'm lost. I double checked all my ingredients to make sure they were not expired, etc. Can you please help with what I might have done wrong? (I didn't use a dark baking pan because I know you have adjust temperature sometimes for those pans). I had this issue with a chocolate fudge cake of my Mom's I was trying to replicate because she never wrote down a recipe. Through my Google searching, a suggestion was made to add a couple of tablespoons of mayonnaise. I did and that was the trick, and the cake was perfecto! Thank you in advance for any help you can give.

The issue with the cake becoming dry after being refrigerated, despite using cream cheese icing, is indeed puzzling but not uncommon. Refrigeration can dry out baked goods because the cold air draws moisture out of the cake. Even though refrigerating is necessary for cakes with cream cheese icing to prevent spoilage, it can have a drying effect. Solution: To minimize moisture loss, ensure your cake is covered tightly with plastic wrap or in an airtight container. This helps to keep the cake from drying out.     Man that looks great. I could definitely dig a British flap jack! Love golden syrup too. All of the ingredients. I use oats a lot. Saw them mentioned on a TV series and decided to check them out. (lots of Americans call pancakes or hot cakes *flapjacks* ) Don't ask me why. I never did. Thank you, I'll be making these as soon as I can find some golden syrup. I am out and have been for a while. That stuff is delicious on fried chicken and biscuits. 🤤😋

      Thank you for your question about my Quick & Easy Spaghetti Bolognese recipe! In this particular recipe, I do not include sugar as an ingredient. However, some people do like to add a pinch of sugar to their spaghetti bolognese to help balance out the acidity from the tomatoes.       ohhh okay i get u.... i have never made it before but someone told me how to make it and they mentioned something about adding sugar so thats why i asked.... i like the sweeter sauce version so ill just add sugar in mine.... THANKS ALOT HEY.....

    I made this. Delicious but it stuck to the Bundt pan bad! I greased it a lot. I will make it again but not in a bunt pan.

Using a non-stick baking spray with flour can help to prevent the cake from sticking to the pan.
