Glad to see someone finally bring some attention to Kill Everyone & Prototype. That Battlefield 3 section was an interesting one. If you go look into Charles Deenen, he's the originator for a lot of that very cinematic, trailer-esque sound and Mick had worked with him for a period back then. And Hans Zimmer too ;)
It's amazing how all these top composers recognise each other's talent. Shows you how small the circle can often be. At the end of the video I say that "everyone is competing for the same slice of pie, but not everyone understands how to get there." I am very much referring to networking and understanding the creative process of these large publications.

Yo you could also do some metal beatboxing with this.
I've heard some Dubstep where they use beatboxed samples. I think a way of sidestepping the synth process could be to just record a load of sound variations and get them on-pitch.
