The murex is called Murex Elongatus. Common names for it are Clavus or Rudder Murex.

That not a florida horse conch (pleuroploca gigantea) its a pacific horse conch from Mexico or baja california (pleuroploca princeps).

I live in the uk and it really hurts to see him throw the cowries away😂

It's wild that I've had a couple of these shells just from random thrift store finds, or I even have one currently from when I had hermit crabs years ago..Like it's not even that rare, it's just so insanely dangerous that it's hard to believe you could just pick one up for a few dollars from a pet store.
