É isso que adoro nesta performance. As pessoas nos comentários criticando Slash porque ele não parece que Hendrix estão perdendo a alegria disso. Seria chato ouvir alguém tocar exatamente como Hendrix. Qual é o objetivo? Slash não toca guitarra como Hendrix - ele não faz variações de acordes de jazz e incorpora o polegar para acordes de barra. Ele tem um estilo de músico muito diferente, mas cujo som é muito distinto. O que ele fez aqui foi maravilhoso - ele homenageou Jimi tocando uma música lendária, mas fazendo isso à sua maneira, e tenho certeza de que Hendrix teria adorado ter visto isso, em vez de apenas ver alguém imitar genericamente sua abordagem exata da música. . As I get older, 57, Steve Winwood impresses the hell out of me. Yes, I grew up on mtv. Higher love. And yes, he sings like Ray Charles. And that is no knock on Steve or Ray. Ray is a USA Treasure. Great job by Slash too.
