Euro Truck Simulator 2 Scania V8 OP Crackle and Deep sound 2.1.
Hi friends,
Happy to share with you my New Gen Scania V8 Open Pipe with a "Crackle" effect.
Some players like it, some others less. Well i do like both crackle and deeps ones. ;)
In this archive you will get 4 mods:
- Crackle V8 with an Optidrive gearbox sound effect.
- Crackle V8 without that Optidrive gearbox sound effect.
- Deep V8 with an Optidrive gearbox sound effect.
- Deep V8 without an Optidrive gearbox sound effect. (same as the previous one (2.0) but more detailed for the engine sound).
So choose the one you prefer. The game doesn't handle properly that gearbox sound effect, so i had to "play" with Fmod and having a not too bad effect. It's not perfect though, but it does exist at least !
In this video i use the Crackle with Optidrive effect gearbox sound.

Hi friends, Here it is, it's finally done. As i said in the WiP video, i've found and made some better samples so i rebuilded the engine. It sounds way better now with more details. Quality has improved as well. This one works with every Scania, R, S, Streamline, old and new Gen. Many of you found the engine sound i have teased in my previous video. Here's a video showing some more progress on the engine sound. It's indeed a 770S recorded properly with of course like always a 100rpm range precision to give more details as possible. As i said a friend from Germany recorded it. This engine sound should be ready this month :)

When I put the sound mod the game is normal but when I click to drive it crashes
Il y a plein de bouteilles d’alcool sur la table. La carte à lire au milieu du volant tout en conduisant un poids lourd de 2,50 de large, ah on comprend facilement qu’il y avait assez peu de sécurité routière. Le téléphone en conduisant de nos jours c’est rien du tout !

Using your open pipe sound with the opticruise sound and for some reason I cant hear the gearbox whine. I have double checked to make sure I installed the one with the opticruise sound but I still dont hear any gearbox sound.

Crackle sound with opticruise doesnt work for me :/ its silent. Normal open pipe with opticruise works perfectly fine.
