A couple of things i think people in the comments missed about this guy. 1: The level of competition he went against in college was really low. Look at the names of the teams these highlights are against. Most of those guys he burned wouldn't even make it on an NFL practice squad. Prolly didn't even get a look in UDFA outside of being a special teams player. 2: He's not running any kind of techinal routes. Hes just beating the defenders with pure straight line speed and slants in the slot. That's not gonna be nearly enough to win reps in the NFL. From what I've seen on this and other videos he has a lot of work to do on his route tree. Not many tools in his toolbox. 3: I'm not seeing anyone in his highlight videos coming up to jam him at the line. Which tells me when he gets pressed there's no highlight to be seen unless you count the CB who locked him up. 4: He's doing most of his damage in the slot which makes me wonder where he would fit in here outside of special teams. We have two guys that are for sure in the top 10 when it comes to pass catchers in the slot. Captain Kirk and Eazy Engram. Maybe he could pass Parker Washington on the depth chart if he does work on his route tree and ability to beat press. Parker doesn't have great top end speed but he's a prime example of being able to separate from the defense with technique and a pretty good route tree in your toolbox to work with. Still....even if he beats out Parker he still wont get many snaps unless one of our starters get hurt. Regardless of the observations i can see why my Jags snatched him up in UDFA. He's got potential. That's all anyone coming out of college has until they prove it. If he makes a good impression in preseason and earns a spot it'll mostly likely be for special teams. Especially being the kickoff is going to give all of the speed merchants more of a chance to score on kickoffs. I wish we had another veteran WR that plays the X position on the boundary that could mentor him into playing the Y position opposite of him incase Gabe gets hurt or does his disappearing routine where he'll have a game with well over 100yds and multiple TDs and then not much of anything for 3-5 weeks🤣

Don’t see any flash of wow in him but I will say He runs his routes Showed good hands Might be a dropped idk yet gotta watch more film But he got Grade A ball carrier vision. He know how’s u to use his blockers very well

He’s the best Day 3 receiver in the draft imo. His routes are just so clean, and he isn’t a bad blocker either. I wouldn’t be shocked if a team takes him earlier than projected or that he has a breakout in the NFL
