From a 45 year old LA native. Every single neighborhood and city listed here is SCORCHING HOT and unlivable unless you run your AC 24/7 for almost half the year. We’re talking 90’s and 100’s. Fans are not an option. No AC is not an option. Also tons of traffic, car vandalism and breaks ins. Homelessness and overall depressing surrounding neighborhoods next to nice ones.

First to Comment. Hi Mona. Your review was fair and factual. Thank you for taking the time to share your knowledge. [Re] Crime & Homelessness in Venice. It is high and a huge concern. It wasn't too long ago that several women were attacked and raped by a stranger along the Venice Canals in a single night. One of the ladies was on 'life support' and died at the hospital. While the other was fortunate enough to survive, although savagely beaten. [Re] Residents of the City. I was not aware that 70% were renters.

Southern California is amazing! I lived there for 11 years, but you have to put up with a lot of crap in order to maintain the amazing. A lot of highs and Lows. If you want to tolerate both extremes, then enjoy. If you engage in "Road Rage" and you do not know how to walk away, then it's time to move away from SoCal!! Pay attention to your own red flags.
