The reason you can’t just extend is for range purpose. If there is a break in coax it doesn’t continue and will definitely affect range if it connects at all.

I honestly can’t tell you why. It worked perfectly on mine as well as many others who confirmed it worked as well. Perhaps plugged into wrong channel.

Yes the length of the antenna is important for Range. That’s why we used the antenna of same length from a different unit.

@@LETSPLAYRC I peeled off a lil from the end and dammmm it really improved the range by triple but I didn’t do the 3 inches like in the vid I only did like 1 inch

Yes it is very possible! As it is a heavy vehicle. However tightening the servo saver may help some as we , but that can also put added ware on the servo it self. The aluminum option will most certainly help.

@@LETSPLAYRC so I’ve replaced the servo to a 5th scale 70kg, bell crank, alum servo horn, alum spindles… and now it wobbles even worse up front! Love the look of the machine and how is a bit easier to work on compared to the Super Baja Rey but damn this thing just doesn’t drive well. Too light on the rear and the death wobble just can’t figure it out!

@@arod7130 that’s odd. Not really sure what the issue would be. Maybe wheels are loose or unbalanced. Ours does not really have that issue. Maybe a bit shaky just because of size. But nothing significant.

@@LETSPLAYRC wheels definitely tight, but I do wonder if debris is inside the seep holes and clogged up making them unbalanced… this car got me spending too much money lol

Well there are a few variables, i persons would choose the UDR for the size and power. However if your on a bit of a budget the shahs 4x4 brushless is awesome and a bit cheaper to buy and maintain. With the brushless version and a quality Lopo battery you still some awesome performance in a smaller package. Hope that helps 😉👍😁

Hey thanks for watching. 👍 trust me when I say there is not a shelf queen in our collection lol. We bash our RCs hard. At the time of this video the UDR was not very old. The reason we did this mod is that the GPM skid plates come with double side tape that did not hold up, so this was for reinforcement purposes. We have bashed hard sims with no issues on the skid plates. 😉

Yea although warn winches are good , there does seem to be some that just don’t last. Same thing happened to us.

I zoomed in as much as possible without distorting the picture. They are separate solder points. The one closest the the pins is for the antenna connection. The point furthest from the pins is just to hold antenna in place.

@@LETSPLAYRC if I have enough money, do you recommend the UDR over the slash 4x4 vxl? Also what charger do you recommend

The UDR and slash are very similar so it’s really more about how much you want to spend and what size truck works for you. As far as battery chargers, we would absolutely recommend the Venom pro series either duel or quad. However venom has gone out of business and the charger may be hard to find. Unfortunately we liked it so much we never tried any other, except the Traxxas ez peak when we first started in the hobby. We would NOT recommend the Traxxas charger or batteries. Hope this helped! 👍😉😁
