We moved full-time to the "Farm" in 2015 while I continued to work remotely. Only had the weekends to do any work outside that needed to be done. I retired back in April of 2022 and bought a Kioti DK5310SE tractor to help with all the projects of cutting mother nature back. And there are MANY projects to be done! Come along and watch the journey to tame Mother Nature! It should be exciting!

zhlédnutí 117Před rokem
A few more inches of snow! Two days after this snow we got another 2" which I cleared the driveway with a shovel. Today, Tuesday we have three inches so far and it is supposed to snow all day! Maybe another shovel day? AND, it looks like we have two more snow events coming up! #Kioti #DK5310SE #MovingSnow
Too much talk.
😂
Its hard to catch the darkness on video....but you did...and the dogs!!
The camera doesn’t show how dark it really got! It was interesting for sure!
Howdy sir… Yup she is just letting us know she is not quite ready to let winter go.. It was just about dried up and able to get out and run some equipment.. But now mud season starts all over again.. I had big plans now got to wait longer.. Cheers
Yes sir! We were this close to Spring! 🙏🏻
Nice bon fire
Thanks 🔥!
what part of nh are you in? i used to live in campton, on ellsworth hill. nice area...
I live in the Hanover area. I love working on the property to make it what it once was!
Where in NH are you?
Near Hanover!
How many hours now? 2022 here and only 63 hours. No issues. Did you ever figure out the two wires on the back?
I have almost 150 hours. I think those wires are there if you want to add a beacon up on the roof.
Nice views.
Thanks! When it is not cloudy they are great! Thanks for watching!
He he he. Had the same experience with an old fence line and shit farmer. Dont bother with a grinder just take to it with a oxy torch.
I used a tree to support the mower and a winch on the Gator to get it out after I used bolt cutters to cut a pathway top to bottom! Thanks for watching!
Howdy Well that was very interesting. I never would have thought that would happen.. I will have to take a gander at both my tractors and see if I have a set up like that. If so I will put this knowledge in my toolbox. Thanks for sharing this adventure and knowledge with us. Go 603. Cheers
You are welcome, a simple fix although it will probably happen again! If it starts getting harder to get out of float position I will take care of it straight away and not waiting!
We can start building the ark …. Hahahahaha
Just about! Glad I live on the top of a hill! It would be nice to have four weeks of no rain!
Good for you
Thank you! Tractor did most of the work! But you still have to shovel the deck and a pathway around the house for the dogs! Thanks for watching!
Just shared this with Sidney…
Can he watch them at sea?
Loving that barn !!
It’s an old one, 1812 maybe?
what are u nuts doing that by hand?????!!!!!
Naaah, can’t get an excavator back there…. Yet! Has to be done by hand for now!
OUCH you hit me with that stick
Sorry! LOL! I was getting a little wild and crazy!
Checked out your channel and subscribed. Really nice tractor.
Thanks! The weather has been nice and warm but the snow has turned into ice…. NOT a fan of that! I am very pleased with the tractor so far, have 183 hours on it in seven short months. Can’t wait for spring and dry roads! Got a lot of projects planned! Thanks for subscribing!
Nice crackling fire 🔥
Yes sir! The tractor helps me stack it high and big. The only pain is taking the snow covered tarp off! I do like a good fire!
I have gloves like that too. I like em!
Yes the Carhartt gloves have been very good! They las several seasons!
Nice job! It looks wet and heavy as you said. Nice having a tractor though, with one we can handle whatever we get for the most part 💪. What is your camera set up in the cab? I am trying to figure out how to use one from inside the cab also. Thanks 😊.
I have a GoPro 8 with a suction cup mount, both from GoPro. I am thinking about getting a wireless microphone for better sound while talking in the cab.
That’s great.. I have a huge pile I need to burn.. But we have no snow…Yet.. hahahaha Stay safe and always be kind.. Oh and stay warm.. hahaha Go 603
The hard part is getting the snow off the tarp, then digging around the base of the pile to get to the wires securing the tarp. Getting the tarp off; I had to climb up on the pile because the tarp was stuck because of limbs poking through and remnant snow still on it! Thank goodness the burning was the easy part! Just love all the crackling sounds!
❤
👍🏻
Ohhh I love the crackling of that fire cousin!!
It is very relaxing and hypnotic!
Good evening Bob.. I am glad you are feeling better.. That really sucks you got sick.. Merry Christmas to you and your family.. And Happy New Year.. Thank you for sharing.. Stay safe and always be Kind. Go 603 Cheers
Thanks Gus! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you and your family! Yes, feeling much better!
I like your attempt at removing the dam. I suspect you are over your head for your age and size. I am about the same size. With my health condition I would just offer some young man a $100.00 and let him loose. I have an idea he would have at least half of that dam removed top to bottom. Another option is ask around, there's got to be a farmer nearby with a backhoe.
Not looking to take the dam down completely just yet, just want to give them something to do until we start trapping. In the spring I hope to get the excavator back in there to really take it down!
Steady work and well done. Hard work as far as i can tell.
Tedious is probably the best way to describe it! Layers of mud and sticks, grasses, logs, stones, anything they can use!
Water level below the dam seems really high. Is there a dam downstream?
Yes there is, I will be taking a look at that next!
That is a huge dam.
Yes, the lower one that I will investigate next is much longer but not as high!
There is a road kill festival in West Virginia. Any kind of game that ends up as road kill can be cooked. Contest for best recipe. No you don’t pick up the dead animals you have to hunt or trap one to eat. You might Russell up some beaver burgers.
I hear beaver is very good! But our trapper uses the meat to trap coyotes! He got a mostly red one the other day!
Good job...however how much did the beavers build back up???
In three days it is now built back up to where it was. Need to get with the trapper on when he wants to go get them.
Good work thanks!
There will be more to come!
I prefer without the music 🎶 and falling in is definitely not a good idea! 😅 hi from the UK 🇬🇧 😊
Yes, falling in would be a bad thing! The latest videos have no music!
I was waiting for a chunk of mud and junk to hit your camera at the beginning when you were pitching it off your potato rake hahaha, sure hope you get those 4 legged dam building tree destroyers taken care of, good luck been there.
Yes sir! Almost got the camera! We will get those guys very, very soon! Got another video coming out in the next day or two!
Dynamite ?
I have more fun taking it down manually! Besides having someone blow it up for me might be very expensive!
TrapperJ has good luck with tannerite. I guess trapping isn't an option?
Yes, going to trap them. Just waiting for them to get their winter fur.
Good job thanks !!
Exercise is good! As long as I don’t fall in!
I think you need a bigger rake.
This rake is an improvement over what I had before! I am pleased with it so far!
sure does!!!!!
Just having some fun!
😘😘
Thanks for watching!
Nice video! A ditch bank flail is on my short list, but they are hard to come by at the moment. I've narrowed my interest to DelMorino or Peruzzo flails. Is there any interesting history to those stone walls?
Thanks for watching! They were started in the early 1800’s. The size of some of those boulders makes you wonder how many oxen or draft horses it took to drag them into the wall.
買魚夫裝才不會弄濕衣服褲子
I have chest waders, but with a beaver dam it would be hard to stand back up if you should fall into the water! I would not like to drown!
你要買朔溪的手套,比較方便作事
They are unavailable on Amazon.
Lose the music. It interferes with the satisfying sound of the water flowing
Thanks for watching Nicki! Will do on the next one! I thought it was a little long to just be hearing water flowing.
I agree
@@newhampshire-bob1604 no music ever please when i want to listen to music i watch a music video.
Good afternoon Bob.. Pesky little beavers.. hahaha They never give up.. I can’t remember if I asked before where you are? I am just north of Concord in Boscawen.. We have a camp in Lancaster.. Love it.. My stress level goes away as soon as I go through the Notch.. Different world.. Have a great week. As always stay safe and always be kind. Cheers
We are between Plymouth and Fairlee, VT. Thanks for watching Gus!
Good evening. Yup.. they never give up.. Like you said have to trap them out.. Stay safe and always be kind. Cheers
Morning Gus, trapping is the only way. Last year I got six out of the same place.
Howdy.. Yup pesky little buggers for sure.. Sometimes they can create a lot of damage… Good job.. Thanks for sharing. Stay safe and always be kind. Cheers
Thanks Gus, yeah our neighbor downstream loves the Beavers. They travel upstream from their. I can guarantee that we will have Beavers every year!
It looks great.. I have the DR brush mower.. I love it.. If it can push it over it will cut it.. Keep up the great videos.. I am watching them little by little.. I just retired at the beginning of the year and loving it.. Cheers Go 603
Thanks for watching Gus! Got more videos to add! I like working outside!
Good evening sir.. That does a pretty good job.. I would be pretty nervous with it out to the side like that as well.. But it did great.. A little more work and you will have your field back… I have watched Jon Ritter use his and it worked good. I want to get a brush hog to keep my field back and I have roads going out to my back woods.. I have 18 acres . Not a lot but enough to play with.. I grew up on it.. so I know it very well.. hahahah What part of NH are you in? I am in Boscawen just north of Concord… Well thanks for sharing your adventures.. Keep it up. As always stay safe and always be kind. Cheers
Hey Gus! Thanks for watching! We have 150 acres most of which is wooded. We live West of Plymouth near the Vermont boarder. I am starting to get the hang of the Flail mower, I need to find some sort of a restrictor for the remotes so that the Flail doesn't move so quickly!
That idea worked great.. Good job… Cheers Go 603…
The mattress was really wrapped around the shaft. Had to use a pair of cutters to create a "channel" that was cleared of the wire then pull with the Gator! That took several hours! Glad it is cleared. Tomorrow I will look to see if it warped the cutter shaft. Thanks for watching!
So sorry 😞
Had to do a little cutting but the Gator was able to pull it out for me! Flail is a little beaten up but it is good, nothing major!
👏 promosm
Well I am hoping word of mouth will get my channel noticed.
