Filmed in Canada, Iran, and the United States, Secrets of the Surface: The
Mathematical Vision of Maryam Mirzakhani examines the life and mathematical work of Maryam Mirzakhani, an Iranian immigrant to the United States who became a superstar in her field. In 2014, she was both the first woman and the first Iranian to be honored by mathematics’ highest prize, the Fields Medal.
Mirzakhani’s contributions are explained by leading mathematicians and illustrated by animated sequences. Her mathematical colleagues from around the world, as well as former teachers, classmates, and students in Iran today, convey the deep impact of her achievements. The path of her education, success on Iran’s Math Olympiad team, and her brilliant work, make Mirzakhani an ideal role model for girls looking toward careers in science and mathematics.

may some body tell me the source to watch the full documentary
Yes, in a perfect world you don't "look it up in a book." But as every grad student in math knows, you're facing an avalanche of material to "master," and you just don't have time to let things mellow and develop and mature. This all but guarantees you won't really learn much --- you'll just get a shallow, survey-level understanding. _Then_ you do your thesis/dissertation, _then_ you really learn some math. Sad that we do it this way. Very frustrating to many who can't abide this system.
Where can we watch this documentary?
Where can I see the full movie?

Here’s hoping she passed on her brilliant genes to her offspring.❤️🥂.
Wow! Gifted at Mathematics
Duh.
I think he has great insights but many limitations too. He doesn't really manage to reach out to the common troubled reader.
They seemed to make sure white kids were well represented in the video, at the expense of East Asian American kids. In any given year, at least 50% of the team are Americans of East Asian descents. ALL 2023 team members have Chinese last names. So even in an event where East Asian American kids dominate, they were still somehow underrepresented in media!

The copy of the full film on CZcams was unauthorized, or pirated.
It would be beneficial for all to see this for so many reasons. This includes the political efforts to keep women down. I was lucky to see it just today on World Channel a PBS channel of documentaries.
The full documentary used to be on CZcams. Did it get copy struck?
Alex Zhai sounds super humble. Glad he won gold the next year.
40/42.. wow!
Pseudo Feminism is the cancer of the society and only promoting women and insulting men is a kind of Pseudo Feminism that everyone should keep in their mind.
IMO 2006/1 is one of my first IMO solved.
I have invented new negative numbers, now I hope will change the world positively and push knowledge of mathematics forward for development of mathematics ever. But I don't have support , please I need support from you for you as well.

I will always have huge respect for IMO participants - the problems are really on quite a different level.
