Fyi for anyone who is still new to the game even though im late: its a lot easier and less time consuming to go to a nook miles island,as they are smaller, and do laps around the beaches checking the size of the fish shadows, running next to the small and medium sized shadows to scare them away and attempt at all the large shadows. I brought two fishing rods, had to throw out quite a few sea bass but i ended up catching the oarfish pretty quickly. I tried the fish bait method for 3 days straight however and it didnt work, just wasted a lot of time crafting fish bait and wasting it all.

They really screwed up this Pokemon game in so many ways. The battle system to catch Pokemon is garbage. You can’t change outfits. The fps is baddddddd not even DLCs fixed anything really. The list goes on with this games failures.

I just chase fast sea creatures to the net until they can't run away anymore. that's when I catch them. it's easier for me. 😅
