Great car, just wish it were shaped more like the CL and not the CLS, especially the back seating is really tricky with that low roof. Love the car othewise.

Similarly equipped, its more like an $8000 difference. Also, try finding an A3. Audi stopped production and there arent any left. I called every Audi dealer in California yesterday and couldnt find one, new *or* used. Audi is coming out with a 2014 TDI A3 SEDAN this fall, which is a horrible idea, IMO. Its going to look like a Civic. I like Audi's but the marketing people for Audi should all be fired.

Every vehicle has a window sticker with a clearly marked msrp and list of options, every vehicle on our website has the same.

Go to a different dealer. Dealers in Raleigh have all sorts of trim levels available on the lot.

He shows the sticker for this particular car - $24,700. I don't think anyone gets away with $7K for TTL. If what you want is the Autobahn edition with leather, nav, etc. then yes, it'll cost you $32K. Still a great value and no dishonesty.

Oh, ok, got ya. The Golf TDI with tech package has premium sound, roof, nav, and more. To have those options in the Audi A3 TDI, you'd be looking at the Premium Plus and then adding roof, heated seats, and nav, putting you over $36,000. Thanks again for the compliment, I just want to make sure we're on the same page.

2013 VW Golf TDI w/ Tech package I mean.

I was comparing the MSRP of the 2013 VW Golf TDI to the 2013 Audi A3 TDI Premium (Base); difference is around the area of $1000. Although, the Base 2.5L PZEZ Gasoline engine Golf is about $6000 cheaper as you said. All in all, both beautiful cars, definitely looking into getting either the Golf or A3 TDI trims. Nice video!

I'm sorry, it's actually $6,000 comparing base TDI Golf to base TDI Audi A3. $30,250 for the Audi A3 TDI and $24,235 for the Golf TDI according to Edmunds MSRP for each.

There is a $3,000 difference in price, but point taken. Thanks for the comment, we love our Golf TDI! Hopefully as the TDI consumer base continues to increase and as VW continues to grow, they will be able to continue lowering their vehicle prices without sacrificing quality.

All depends on the manufacturer. In general, the factory produces what they believe will be the best selling combinations of features.

We generally have a pretty good mix of all prices on our lot. Right now we have 12 GTI models on our lot from $25,060 MSRP to $32,060. Only one is the $32k model. 4 are under $28k. One is the base. The one you buy is all a matter of personal preference.
