Sadly, I was forced to pull out of this year’s Monaco Grand Prix. Complaints were made to the stewards by teams who clearly felt threatened by the superior performance of my car. Here’s a scene from my practice session on Wednesday.

Remarkable to think these two - both sold new in 1985 - were at opposite ends of the Citroën model range. 29bhp vs 168bhp… 71mph vs 137mph!

Congratulations! I wanted to do this drive filmed before these murky times we're currently living.
Well done for getting her back on the road James, IMHO they're one of the trickier classics to restore, the people who love them don't often have the money to lavish on them & the people who restore cars are usually wary of them! My Safari took years to 'restore' but I wanted lots & lots of 'improvements' & I was determined to get a car that looked new or even better. The car's now finished, but I've now run out of the money to check in to a sanitorium. Bon Chance a tout!

Looked like a great event. The 'warning - engine hot'@1:13 reminded me of a scene from George Lucas' THX1138 movie. (the bit where his gas-turbine powered Lola T4 overheats) Was that an intentional 'nod' to the film for film buffs or just for fun?
