This new series is interesting. I'm curious to know, do you already have a plan in mind for these tiles? Will they form a cohesive whole or are you thinking more modular - being able to line them up any which way? Thank you for the great ideas!

"Finger paint" 😄 That's ideal compared to my vinyl grid map. My group does DND, Mega Traveller and Top Secret (by TSR). That color scheme fits any game with separate terrain pieces, awesome work. 👍

The first time I heard the term "obelisk" was when I was playing Guantlet, Legends, I think was the edition. So much nostalgia from my childhood. This one is artistically a master piece. You and Greyhawk Grognard are my absolute favorite DND channels to watch. I'd love to play a game session with both of yall, your terrain and Grognard's DM skills would be an awesome combo for a game. 👍

It looked fantastic under the black light, but not as good under regular light. Also the floor could use some elevation, even minimal elevation. I've had success using a "topographic map" approach to cavern floors with 1-4 layers of Readi-Board, but it does take some time. Consider doing one tile as a pool (cut pool-shaped hole all the way through your XPS base, paint the underside of a sheet of clear plastic for the water, glue it on bottom of tile so it covers the hole.) Looking forward to seeing a whole set of underdark tiles.

First time seeing under dark as terrain, it's a great start for a series. Love it, especially with the black light.

Looks good. Maybe rather than the green paint for the path you could use the green wash mix from your previous builds? A few drops of that rust wash could also look cool.

Boylei Hobby does the same work with more steps. Absolutely efficient here. I haven't tried to do terrain in about 20+ years myself. This is awesome and reminds me of the terrain pieces games workshop use to sell, but this is more appealing to the eyes. Fantastic work

What’s really great with your videos is that you consistently use the same techniques when constructing and painting. Really helpful for someone starting out to get drilled on the basics on terrain building. Would love to see you build something slightly larger like a house,m or a tavern.

That's a great-looking oak! ;) Lichen and moss works very nicely for a more realistic look, but I personally prefer styrofoam for leafy trees and bushes. They look a bit cartoony and blocky, sure, but make for pretty sturdy and easy-to-handle trees I think. You can also paint some of the "bubbles" with a different colour to represent fruit and/or berries.

An easy option for covering something like the joint in the tree would be some of the cheap filler options. Basically the cheap stuff that dollar tree has in their home improvement and adhesives section, just use a cheap trash brush and work it in and wipe it off with the same brush when damp.

Have a look at the boxes of tree bits from Woodland Scenics - seafoam that would work well as foliage.
