Hey, sorry about the comment i deleted it now, i didn't know it could be harmful and after reading it, i agree it may have seemed more rude than i expected when writing it. Thanks for informing me about this. I'm only curious if this game could one day be released to public and if / when it does i just hope fans could do some kind of fan translation, just like in the Ace Attorney Investigation 2 game. I'm a huge Layton fan and seeing high quality videos of this game is just so awesome and i wish you and your team luck with this project, and once again, i'm sorry that i may have caused some problems. By the way, does your team have any website or social media i can follow for updates?

@@Tatti04 Thank you for reacting so quickly 🙏 Don't feel too bad about it, we're not mad at you specifically or anything. We all assumed that you just didn't know any better, and everybody makes mistakes. It just so happens that this is a mistake that has been made by many different people in the past (and even a Japanese commenter sent a "please update soon" message on that let's play not too long ago, to which the player had replied angrily on Twitter), and that each of these small mistakes ended up being precisely the reason why we couldn't get the whole game for a decade! The reason was simply that the players were pestered with too many comments asking them to upload more, and they ended up dropping their playthrough and ghosting everyone. So yeah, this is why we are so jumpy about the whole situation. Since you want to know how Deathly Mirror ends just like we do, then sit tight, be patient, and hope in silence. If the day when the whole game is finally revealed to us comes, we *WILL* make sure that everybody in the fandom knows about it (and I will be part of those who make a public transcription and translation of everything we will have in hand by that point). As for updates, I recommend you trust DearestHershel if you aren't following him already. He won't give updates on how we are progressing, but I definitely trust that he will make a whole video once we finally get a full playthrough and no longer need the secrecy (which isn't something we are enjoying btw, it's actually super stressful to know that one (1) breach could ruin years of hopes and hard work). If you want content _right now_, I sort of play the archivist's role in the team -- I have a website dedicated to transcribing and translating the Japan-exclusive content we were able to get our hands on. Two things you can already take a look at that are complete are London Holiday, a prologue to Diabolical Box, and Chelmey's Casebook, another DoCoMo game that is in the exact same situation as Deathly Mirror, and just happens to be less known. @@lutiaskokopelli1288 ah, i understand your situation now, i can see how my comment could have had some pretty negative consequences. I believe i'm already following DearestHershel, he has done some great videos. I checked your website and it is so cool, i'm glad you have decided to translate all that, i didn't even know there were Layton light novels in Japan, though in your website the novels didn't have translations yet, in the fist one there was a one page with english text, but rest were just dots, is this a bug or haven't you just yet translated those? Anyway i hope you keep this up and again i wish you and your team luck and hopefully we don't have to wait another decade for this to finally be completed.

@@Tatti04 No, this is not a bug, it's just that these are unfinished. I am currently working on the transcription (not translation yet) of the Eternal Diva novel -- I have 98 pages left. This is a very slow process, and it is all the more so when, like me, you actually don't even speak Japanese 😂 (I'm basically learning the language by sheer brute-forcing it). I said in my comment that for the time being, the only two media that are complete and not WIP are London Holiday and Chelmey's Casebook; everything else is lacking content and needs updates, either because we don't have the content yet (Deathly Mirror) or because, surprise surprise, transcribing and translating entire novels takes a lot of time and effort, all the more so when you aren't a fluent Japanese speaker.

@@lutiaskokopelli1288 yeah i know how hard it is to translate a language you don't really speak, i once had a youtube channel where i uploaded videos where i had translated foreign songs, mainly Rammstein in Finnish, and i still only know few words when it comes to Germany. But just take your time there is no rush when it comes to translating those novels, i'm just glad that you are even doing this, i mean it must be hard and time consuming. I really like Layton and Ace Attorney fandoms where there are fans who are doing these kinds of things so others can enjoy stuff that never left Japan.
