There are very few books that get to me. These did. I regret the fact that I won't ever be able to meet this illustrious human - but I will always cherish that I had the opportunity to read her This video is bookmarked on my PC and I cannot love it enough. I was doing time in the 1990s and I read your book makes me want to holler your book got me through some tuff times in prison if I could just sit down with you and tell you my life story you could write another book I tried to get through to Tyler Perry with no success my life story you would be amazed on how my grandfather died in Florida Electric chair for killing a woman and my father followed in his footsteps and killed my mother right in front of me and my siblings how I grew up poor as hell and had to work from 4 grade up to highschool just to have school clothes so I would not get picked at I sware if you sat down with me you could write another bestselling book on my life story my grandfather name was E.C Daniels look up E.C Daniels versus State of Florida he died in Florida Electric chair in the 1950s my father named was Charles Jurden he killed my mother in 1979 in Lake City Florida and got a natural life sentence and died in prison after serving over 32 years.

I’m gay, it’s rare but when it does happen the aggressions aren’t micro. They’re blatant and severe such as being called a faggot or a physical punch in the face(yes I have been assaulted), or perhaps you’re not to bad for a gay guy. Micro aggressions aren’t a thing they’re just straight up aggressions. Luckily society is not that homophobic the ones that are are very homophobic there is no such thing as slight homophobia from my experience.

I knew John personally (I was engaged to John’s best friend from 1st grade) before his relationship with Sherrie. In the 5 years I spent around & with JD I never saw an ounce violent anger or rage towards any woman. This ex wife of his has been in more trouble than most…it’s clear that she’s a liar and a bitter ex wife. John Daly has his personal struggles and demons but he is one of the nicest, most genuine and generous people I ever had the pleasure to know.

Crazy coming back to this after her 2nd book expats came out as a tv show! Day ones should be proud!

Ive only read parts of the book, but I thought it an interesting read. Also read other books such as School shooters a typology, A mother's reckoning, Far from the tree, No easy answers, and Comprehending Columbine.

A few patriots have taken your book seriously-shame on them, they're going to wish they've read this. Now in this definitive account, Dave Cullen presents a compelling and utterly human profile of teenage killers. Some start out young, punk rockers etc....and, even younger than that...Its the experience of taking a life.

Really good book so far on pg 54

I grew up where this story takes place. Although there is not really a Duma Key, everything King describes in the book is based upon a key between Casey and Siesta Key(s). I love that he mentions Davidson Drug Store on McIntosh and BeeRidge Rd. My ex husband and my best friend both ran Davidson Home Health for over 25 years. It’s a book very close to my heart. My brother is a writer as well and apparently they sometimes collaborate.

I read this book twice, it was funny, heartwarming, and sad at the end. Was an amazing experience/privilege to be able to bond like this with the owl. One of my favorite books and I always recommend this book to everyone.

Oh, what a relief. Hosseini speaks almost as well as he writes, but not quite. By my count, he has written three masterpieces, if not four (I have not read his fourth book). I have just finished "And the Mountains Echoed." And I think I see one source of his mastery: he has a concept of honor, and it applies to his writing as well as to his life. In America, we regularly encounter the term "product" to describe movies, books, podcasts, what-have-yous. In the world of products, the objective is to produce something that will make a profit (that can be measured in dollars) for the investors and the artists. But for someone to do honorable work, that suggests standing up straight in front of your God, your parents, your children, and the best of your society, and doing your best to speak the truth. In Hosseini's case that best is very good indeed. I am an old, tough, cynical reader, and Hosseini can bring me to tears. Many of his readers are grateful for the tears in his books. That is because we cannot share the joys, and grit, and devastating insights in his stories without the tears. There is no monetary way to measure his success, unless we can measure hearts resonating.
