lot of tall grass that needs to be mowed, then raked or blow.// seem to have a lot of old run down buildings...need to clean and pick up trash from side of the roads, plenty pud holes. really need to focus on cleaning the environment. Will try to visit there soon. got few friends and classmates from here.

I was on truk, chuuk, in the early 50s as a kid. I remember breadfruit clearly. I dearly miss it now. But on chuuk, i only had it basically steamed and then pounded into a big pile of what looked like dough. We ate it back then 2 finger style. Useing two fingers to scoop out a bit, dip that into a soy sauce and lemon mixture and eat. Usually with cooked fish or old style corned beef. Still one my favorites . later we moved to yap and still ate breadfruit though rarely pounded. Usually my mom would thinly slice it and cook it a bit and then dip them into a pan of melted sugar. Boy, for us kids that was a royal treat. Back then supplies were rather uncommon. No candy.

Chuuk has certainly changed a lot since i was last there in 73 or 74.

I got my yapese license because i knew how to drive. Thats it. I got my saipan license because i got my yap license. I got my hawaii license because i had my saipan license but i did have to take my driving test. I got my calif lic because my hawaii lic was accepted by calif so just had to take a simple written test. So not surprising that chuuk really doesnt need a license.
