Concorde was an aviation breakthrough. It was capable of flying supersonic and faster than the rotation of earth. It was intended to be the fastest passenger aircraft until there was a crash from an engine failure. Concorde's reputation never recovered and it also breached sound requirements. In 2003 it was retired, never to fly again.
