Kim Hindrew later returned back to WMC-TV (NBC affiliate) in Memphis sometime in 1995 after Mearl Purvis left. She's also married to Mason Granger, who was a former news anchorman, news director and general manager. She's now retired.

I’m so grateful I got to work in the CNN Newsroom while Lou and Natalie, and all of the good ol’ anchors, were still there. I think the mid 80’s and all of the 90ms were the best days for CNN. It all went DOWN hill fast once AOL/Time Warmer took over in 2000. The first couple of years following that were okay. However, when they did away with the entire afternoon format, and got rid of Lou and Natalie on September 12, 2001, it all went to crap. It has continued to poop out any professional or credible elements ever since. I heard they even sold and moved from the big Atlanta Headquarters in downtown Atlanta that was attached to Phillip’s Arena on one side and that big hotel on the other, right across from Centennial Park. I remember all I wanted to do when I first got hired there was meet Lou Waters! lol I always considered him THE epitome of the American network anchor. I started in TB at the young age of 15 where I “grew up” working around older people. And I had a healthy respect for others, including those in post to on’s above me. I learned at CNN however that subordinates and employees in general had a great contempt for those over them, including the anchors. Plus, having any feeling of empathy or respect for what someone else may be going through was very rare. So unfortunately, some of my colleagues had worked in lower positions including prompter operators and floor directors, and did not care much for any of the on-air talent. So, during my first week, when I went over to Lou and introduced myself by saying how honored I was to work with him and how he was the best anchor on TV, I think he as generic let taken aback. He and Natalie were the voices and faves of CNN daytime and will always be considered the best in my opinion. I’m talking to Natalie, I learned she has once worked at the CBS affiliate in Indianapolis where I had many friends and had visited many times. Always seems to be a small work sometimes. Lou and Natalie usually went on the air first around noon, 12pm ET. My desk was located on the far left background, along a walkway anchors used to get back to their desks in the far right background of the newsroom. (If you’re looking at a head-on view of the anchor desk in the newsroom. Lou usually came in around 9am or so, carrying either a McDonalds bag or Duncan Donuts bag. lol I always loved being in that area that was brightly lit for TV when they used that newsroom set. Unfortunately , they stopped doing most of the anchoring from that Atlanta Newsroom set more and more, favoring the New York and Washington sets instead. What a sad shame. Those we truly the good old days. But I’m glad to have had that chance of working there right out of college and making a great start to my broadcast career in network television.

She was shot through vital organs- her aorta, spleen, etc. A classmate of his who witnessed it on the train was moving away and couldn't bear the weight of the information he had... so he anonymously turned him in. Lawrence got a 5-15 year sentence for the crime. Paula's dad died of a heart attack six months after her passing and her brothers dropped their college pursuits to work and help their mother.
