I've been listening to Mama Africa by Peter Tosh. A really fine album from 1983. Bought this when I was in college. It's worth looking for and picking up if you find it. With the wood filler, you'd be better served doing it in stages - not as quick, but will probably give you better results. I like the idea of the block, though. They turned out fine - I hope they sound as good they look.

May I suggest 'Fill Your Boots' by Leatherface.

I love seeing you pick up these audio bargains! I got a great deal on a Denon AVR today at the thrift. I did get burned on a pair of Infinity speakers with a bad woofer recently though. Wasn't a good experience.

Hi Rudy. I love watching your channel. Musically we are very different, I love more obscure music which isn't to everyone's taste, I agree with you about Sgt Pepper though, that album is in my list of top ten albums of all time. I don't have a very good record (pardon the pun) of buying vinyl but I've only brought 1 in the last 30 years and that was Aladdin Sane by Dave Bowie, again one in my top ten list. As you know I love CD's. My favourite drummer would be Roger Taylor but I love Queen, so I'm a bit biast. 😀At this time of year I'm enjoying my pushbike and try to ride a minimum of 100 miles a week, last week was 172 miles.

Wow I have all the albums you showed but 3 cool. Most of them on cd lol, but still cool. Just bought the new BLACK SABBATH boxset ( 4 cds ) with Tony Martin it ROCKS 🤘. And also pickup a ELVIS Presley cd ( Love ) and a CARL PERKINS cd ( Turn AROUND ) excellent.

I've been listening to Kool Moe Dee and Digital Underground. I stumbled across the Stevie Wonder and George Benson mash-up of Digital Underground's "No nose job". That thing is off the chain. The Benson mix was never commercially available and only on promo cd single. I bought it fairly cheap too. Back in the day music never used to go up in price with rare exception.

I have a quite a few of them, great suggestions. And I agree that I need to focus on the stuff I already have in collection in both vinyl and CD and stream on Apple Music. Need to cut back. It’s just so expensive

Hi Rudy! You seem very cheerful in this video, I am glad! Those are all such classic albums, and that Supertramp cover is iconic. My favorite drummers of all time are Simon Philips and Phil Collins. Simon Philips used to be a drummer for Toto, I don’t know if he is anymore… I do love me some vinyl, but the prices are just too high… I wish I still had a record player that worked, but I don’t. First - what I’m listening to right now - 99 cent CD of Steve Miller Band Greatest Hits 1968-1973 The NHT is a great pick at $5. I have a very similar NHT center channel speaker in my home theater. The Scott was also a great score at $15. It’s difficult to tell judging speakers on CZcams because we’re hearing your speakers through our speakers. The Monoprice speakers seem like a good find at $15 for the pair. Tough to tell on the RCAs because we were hearing them from behind through your lapel microphone. Great scores all around, though, I must say. You could do a video on the side hustle aspects of your hobby. It’d be a fun watch. Cheers!

it doesn't make sense for a vinyl to cost more than a CD in 2024, in terms of sound quality many of the new vinyls sound worse, but enthusiasts care about vinyl for many reasons, I personally don't get it, but just like people who prefer vintage cars, they don't drive better but people love them for whatever reason.

I've spent more money on CDs this month than at anytime in the past 15 years. Grab those second hand CDs whilst you can as prices will surely rise soon.

I collect only music I like. At the record store usually 5 to 10 bucks. Splurged a coupke times on a 20 or 30 dollar record for ones i really wanted.

It's unusual to find box sets in a charity shop, here but I have seen two copies of Elton John's greatest hits in the charity I volunteer in recently. Some great finds. I'm still making the most of the summer weather here by being out and about.

You make very good points but I dislike cd's and regret not sticking with vinyl during the heyday cd years. Yes they are much cheaper than new vinyl and second hand are almost a give- away but I can still find used vinyl at reasonable prices. It depends on what you are looking for. Ultimately I would rather have one vinyl album that I love and cherish than 3 cd's. Each to their own.

CDs really are the best. Convenient, great sound, beautiful artwork, hold up to 80 mins, etc. Truly a God send.
