Rest in Peace Roy (aka Gramp)
Had no idea the paddle-wheel steamboats lasted well into the 20th century, but come to think of it, why shouldn't they? They seemed very well suited to their back-country river environment - shallow draft, no propeller to foul, plenty of wood fuel available along the banks.
