Hello. Stumbled upon your video after Prinsu searching. I’m also in Arizona. I’m curious if you have had any leaks with the rack. The AZ sun is brutal and was wandering if any of the seals have dried out leading to issues.

The road mentioned at 25:55 goes to the old town site of LaBelle. Another, shorter one, starts directly across from where you parked. Around a mile and a half to the town site. From there, an old stagecoach road goes up and over a steep ridge to Bitter Creek and then down to Red River. Sadly, the stage road is blocked by hundreds of downed trees. Then, the lower part of the Bitter Creek is all private land and posted.

The logs were most likely placed to to stop erosion, we did that on the smaller roads at the San Isabel Scouts ranch here in Colorado it helps from having water wash away trails and roads.

I bought a used 2016 outback limited. Coming from compact sedans that I couldn’t take where I wanted this has been the best purchase! Love these videos.

Prevents erosions!

One time I lived in Silver and also for a while in Gila. During those years I made many trips to the Mogollon Mts and Black Range. In Gila I lived on Hooker Loop ...I knew of the "Dude Ranch" (this was in 1996.) The Catwalk near Glenwood NM was a favorite spot...I especially enjoyed it in the fall, late fall in the "off season." Many times I was the only hiker there. I remember the sound of the water and the scent of that canyon. As I recall an early mining operation used the water to generate electricity for the mining operation. The workers built a "catwalk" to build and maintain the pipeline they used. Of course now the State of NM has built the beautiful, sturdy strong walkway that is there today..(has to be built so that it can withstand any floods that might come thru that canyon ..and there have been many!) I also used to enjoy trips into the Gila (Mogollon Mts) up to the Crest Trail and also Snow Lake. Sadly a serious wild fire in 2012 spread thru these mountains and changed many of the sweet places I enjoyed. Hummingbird Saddle was one of those areas on the Crest Trail that was changed forever.....I haven't been back since the late 1990's. I have seen photos of the land after the fire. I hope there's still many places to enjoy there regardless. Thank you for your beautiful video of all the places you have explored there.

Sorry to be the buzzkill but you should probably pick up a MVU Map so you can avoid illegally camping like you did at the 13 min mark. Aside from on-foot/horseback camping, the only spots to vehicle camp are in the two campsites.

I grew up in the flat oil fields of SE New Mexico and, with the exception of a few camping trips with my church or driving up to Albuquerque, I didn’t get much of a chance to explore the awesome landscapes New Mexico has to offer before moving to California 25 years ago. Freshly bit by the exploration bug, I’ll definitely be camping here in August when go out to visit family

Looks nice, I’ve heard using carpet this way will lead to mildew tho. There’s probably a reason iKamper opted for cork in the new iKamper Skycamp DLX.
