I love how much fun dances used to look not that long ago, with a bounce bounce step and a bounce! My fav dancers in this vid is into deep blue shirt (button) 1:21 comes in with a gal in a fun shirt just dancing and lots of taking ❤️

So great. Haven’t been to Duncan in 35 years. Got my first accordion from Cyl Malek and his brother spent a whole afternoon giving me some advice in how to play.
The Malek band does play some fantastic music. Hope you can get back for a visit someday

CZcams made all of your new 2021 videos into "Kids Songs" so I can't add any of them to my polka playlist! They even removed the right to make comments! They really spoiled things for us polka lovers! Polkas are for all ages, not just the kids...but they do bring the family together. So happy that the Co-vid19 hasn't stopped us!
Yes, in order for kids to view my videos I have to set the options for kids. All my polka videos are good for kids but people should have the right to comment. Another good example of suppressing our rights of speech.

I am happy that you enjoy this music. My wife and I play this music and dance in front of residents in nursing homes in our area.

My Ma-ma sang this song when she was a little girl in the 1930's for the tourists in Gatlinburg TN. She learned it from her Ma-ma. I do not know if the Goodtime Dutchmen are considered or represent the Dutch from Holland or The Netherlands, but several Dutch families started migrating South after the British took over their colonies especially New Amstel in Delaware (New Castle, Delaware area). They started assimilating among the Scotch Irish in the area of the Great Smoky Mountains and probably prior to that with the Swedes up in Delaware even though they fought battles against one another for the land. Members of my family are some of the funniest and kindest people with a deep love for music. I don't know how the family learned the song but there seems to be a blend of Scotch-Irish, Dutch, and maybe a little Swedish when they sing it. It is not quite the Oom-pa-pa sound which is German and Polka, but nonetheless it is played and sung like a waltz.
