    All styles of pointfighting are basically useless. Especially if you ban strikes to the head and low kicks. The most basic kickboxing technics/ combination. Jab - lowkick. So easy to land. Both banned in this sport.... They rathet hop around like hyperactive bunnies going 'haaaa' doing 0 damage. Not just that. these flashy non impactful kicks often drive you outta balance, leading to counters

  • @Wisstihrwas
    @Wisstihrwas Před 2 měsíci

    Fighting system is useless in a real fight. Fast, flashy and snapy kicks, that do no damage and bring you ouf of balance most of the time! Easy to counter. On the other hand a basic low kick is easily set up with like a jab, to bring up the opponents hands. This kick does much damage when applied properly and since you set it up nicely, the opponent cant grab your legs so easy. Even if he tried to grab you can no fake once to get the reaction and now to a question mark kick to the head where you pull up the foot and the opponent lowers the guard to try to grab. Even if he grabs your low kick, which is very unlikely under that circumstances, you still have a more or less stable base on the other leg. Bring the leg and hibs back and balance your body with little hops in a given direction. Not easy to be take down. And it opens up strikes to the opponents head with your hands, since he has his hands at your leg, thus no head cover. All in all there are far superior systems. If you wanna stay honnorful to the japanese arts, practice kudo. Its a combination of judo and karate. Its basically mma with headgear and a kimono. Very intense, very real but badass af ❤ Or you go sambo. Similar to kudo. Boxing, judo and wrestling with headgear, kimonno and gloves. Brutal but effective Or you go down the chinese route. There is sanda kung fu...its muay thai with more grabs, throws and counters. Very effective too

  • @Wisstihrwas
    @Wisstihrwas Před 2 měsíci

    Why not allow low kicks and strikes to head? Very limited sport. Give them headgear or other form of protection if its for safety reasons... But this is very unnatural. In real fights you dont strike for points, as these strikes are mostly fast, but without impact. In real fight its quite the opposite. Big haymakers meant to knockout. And of course low kicks are super easy to use aswell

      @@user-rq7ej3ij1h Martial arts are only about one thing……effectiveness in combat. After 44 years of training in martial arts, including Japanese jujitsu, BJJ, MMA, Muay Thai, Krav Maga, Systema, TKD, Karate, Judo, boxing, Olympic and catch wrestling, then applying it all as a street cop for 20 years in some of the most violent places on earth, I disagree with you. I can see what you are saying, yes, we can play a sport as a martial art and there is nothing wrong with that. My view and this is just language I am choosing to express myself, is that you can have a sport within a martial art, something that is a part of the overall practice, but it can never be a martial art if it is just a sport. A martial art must have a combat orientated objective. Sports BJJ is not a martial art, whereas Gracie Jujitsu is. What is depicted is in this video is more applicable to combat effectiveness than sports BJJ. The reason mostly being that it is more diverse and in a combat situation you don’t want to spend too long on the ground, there has to be a sense of urgency to win as fast as possible….of course in a controlled manner and not a desperate manner that exposes you to being swept or caught in a submission.

    Why do the fighters wave or backup and reset after a punch to the body? Is this to just "sell" the hit to the ref or do they actually have to do that to get the points? Can you just keep punching the body and stacking points?

    • @jujitsuheroes
      @jujitsuheroes Před 5 měsíci

      Very good question. The current interpretation of rules says that you can score just once per engagement. It means that only one hit will be scored even if you hit your opponent few times. So after scoring points you can go back to longer distance and start another action in engagment or you can grab a grip and do the grappling/judo part. This interpretation of the rules was applied to make scoring more clear for the viewers. Before that referees used to give points for every single hit, what was difficult, because it's impossible to notice every ippon or wazari in the action that contains tens of hits, so that caused many controversial decisions back then.

    I’ve always liked jiu jitsu and judo. At our high school karate dojo we sparred with kids from both arts. The judo kids didn’t want to get punched and kicked, understandably haha. That took away our defense. So basically we just trained dodging and avoiding their grabs with Shotokan footwork. The jiu jitsu kids were ok with striking (light contact). But still, the opposite fighting style of Shotokan. They tried to get close, we liked to stay far and attack from long range. Very good to know what to expect from their arts and exchanging tips on footwork & throwing. And of course, made friends. Good times. Respect. Oss!

      Comment tu peux comparer ce sport à le mma? T'es complètement con, c'est une autre discipline, je suis pratiquant de jjb et judo, et également fighting, j'aimerai bien t'y voir dans tout ça voir ce que tu y ferais, chaque sport possède ses règles, c'est différent c'est tout, y'a aucune note de boxe dans cette pratique, donc vient pas parler de ce que tu connais absolument pas c'est ridicule

      You can win by points or by full ippon. Ju-Jitsu Fighting System is devided to 3 parts. Part I: striking Part II: throwing and takedowning and Part III: ne-waza. To win the fight before time is up. You have to score an ippon in each single part
