I’m thinking of a similar upgrade, but such an upgrade means losing the “Setup” and “Car” buttons on the factory radio. The “Car” button displays hybrid performance information on the screen. The “Setup” button provides several functional changes (auto lock/unlock, auto on/off lights, etc.). Does the new unit still allow you to see this info and make changes to car functions?

The biggest mistake owners of all these 2010 to 2024 Toyota has been doing oil change intervals at 10k . I have always done my oil changes at every 5k miles . Since new, I always do the first oil change at 1k miles. FYI all 2012 to 2017 Prius V all have identical powertrain. I've always serviced the EGR, EGR cooler, full intake manifold cleaning and PVC cleaning. My 2010 Prius has 250k miles, zero oil consumption between oil changes. Biggest mistake with head gasket issue has been lack of warm ups ( I always let my Prius warm up a minute or 2 before driving off in the mornings( with the car in park, step on your accelerator once and engine will come on, engine will go into ev mode when it's warm), and people driving their Prius too hard going up the grades.

Hello i have 3rd gen prius with thqe mileage of 320k and its consuming oil more than 2quartz in 1.5k kilometers run. Ao do i have to change engine or overhaul it or only changing PCV valve and cleaning of EGR. Kindly let me know?

Ive heard not to fill it up to the top of the dipstick. Keep it haleay between low and full. I think if you put too much in it leaks more and clogs up the egr

I installed one of these on 2013, and lost steering wheel controls. Without steering wheel controls I can't operate the factory dash display with Trip/Hybrid/Maintenance Minder. Did your work and if so how?

1qt about 3,000 but it says is normal up to 1qt per every 1,000 which to me it seams like a lot but that is what it says

My 2010 is burning just over 2 quarts every 900 miles haha.... I just keep toppin it off... Currently have 203k miles, but it's been burning more and more oil since it was over 100k miles.

A bit disappointing since you guys paid another $150 to finish the job. The reason I watched this video was to avoid that and do it myself. I guess you can't win them all. Bummer.

Did you use the OEM reverse camera? I'm i bought a 2014 Prius and the previous owner install an Android touch screen but didn't know how to get the reverse camera to work. Any suggestions?

I had to dislike this video my friend. It wasn't helpful for me. I did help me to NOT buy what ever brand this was. You were short on the fine details of something so technical and coming from China who don't give instructions.

This generation of Prius was definitely a big fuk up. Egr poorly designed, likely the cause of head gasket problems and it probably contributes to oil consumption. Low tension piston rings of course also a problem but supposedly if you change your oil every 5,000 religiously you won't have a issue.

And the reveal remains unrevealed. I couldn't wait to see the smoke roll out after guessing what plugs to what. Was the $150 including the tow truck trip to the location where they wired it correctly? Sorry but I was expecting more.
