K20 MR2's First time on the Nurburgring
My first impression... awasome! but very sketchy to go full send on the Nordschleife
Was a 36deg (=100F) day so turned the boost down to 0,5 bar / 7psi.
(but also without the heat that would have been smart)

You like the camera setup? any tips or requests for next time? The front left tyre was rubbing but what a good time, and how fast is this car! Made some changes to the suspension, still not finished but already much easier to ride on the limit. k20 is going strong, altough my IAT are ±65deg. (±150F) ambient is 20deg. next up, improving front camber and overal alignement

First time driving the MRX with no more issues on the car! Using masking tape or plastic/electrical tape. works an all aluminium and anodised parts. i use it on all this type of stuff

Such a shame the camera is placed filming the mirror right in the middle of the shot where we should be seeing the road in front. Maybe you can change that in a future video? Luv and Peace.

How did you leave the original shifter with the ep3 gearbox?
@@katlinkukk7778 changed the pivot mechanisme to the other side. Some welding and drilling but nothing to extreme.

Haha no problem, loved the yellow colour btw! It was also too busy to really drive close to the limit. Also mid engine cars in the rain, not the easiest to drive👌
Leuk om te zien! Ik dacht dat er iets aan de hand was met mijn auto. Bleek de 'pops' van jouw uitlaat te zijn. hahaha Wel echt slecht weer om te rijden! de sessies ervoor waren beter. :)

@@FreakensNL Ik had de zonnige sessie nog mee kunnen pakken. 'T scheelde bijna 30 seconde op een ronde. ;)
Dikke video! Probeer de volgende keer in bochten niet het stuur over te pakken maar kwart voor drie te houden. Dan houd je veel meer gevoel met de weg en kan je ook snelle reageren als het moet.

Nice build but do you suck as a driver? Why can't we see you actually go around the track instead of these cuts? I get no sense of how the car actually performs.
What transmission did you use? If you were to redo it, which transmission would you go with? I’ve got a NA shell, just putting together the build list. Thx!
The EP3 6speed, with Mfactory LSD. If i would do it again, 100% same trans (maybe 5 spd for turbo) but I would keep it NA. k24/20 and max that out.

Thank you for this video. I am wondering if it is possible to split the three wires and have a second valve. I have tried this and it doesn’t seem to work. If I disconnect 1 actuator it works again but when I plug both in neither work. I have wired them straight through. Any thoughts?
I used 2 valves, connect the device parallel. Works the same then

hm looks fun. Though a tad irresponsible. Already don't like all the noobs without proper training in kitesurfing. Its more fatal in paragliding. You didn't know how to out manouver and a lot of people came flying from that one side. Plus loads of people on the beach. Well, until something happens its all fun and joy.
how did you get your tachometer working with the K series transmission? Super clean build!
For my mr2 it was pretty simple; in Europe 92+ models have the electronic speedo so just sent the signal to the dash. Purple wire that runs thru the center console. Hook that up to the speed signal from the transmission. For the rpm you need to change 1 capacitor in the cluster. Same as when you put in a rev5 3sgte engine in an old rev mr2

Bu going thru the worong diagrams. It is pretty easy if ypu understand read them. If ypu have a specific question, I can answer it
@@FreakensNL my speedometer is a mechanical connection to the transmission. what did you use to convert it to electrical for the k series transmissions? are using a k series transmission ?
@user-oq3qe9sl9t I understand. You need to first change oud your cluster for a newer version. Newer revisions mr2 have a digital cluster. The mechanical is a headache. So better to change it out.
Finally received my rev 3 cluster. Any diagrams on how to wire the cluster?
Did you forgot to upgrade your brakes? Please get some proper pads (Hawk HT10) for the track 😁
Do you know where to get them in europe? I'm working on installing 330 rotors front and back. To be honest stock brakes are pretty good for my driving style and i mainley do it for the look of the stocks in 18" rims. I like to be light on the brakes. Don't drive for times, just fun.
How much does it cost to do a K-swap on an MR2? Much less a boosted K series? Curious because i’m debating on what to build, this or a 3000 GT VR4
K swap depends on what a swap cost around you, NL it is 3500 just the swap, mounts from the US 1500. Etc etc. Turboing the K, expensive if done properly. NA k20 In a mr2 is greate fun on the track I would even argue more fun and def more fun to work on and maintain
Hello, my motor turns twice to the right with the connection as in the video. installed on the exhaust, it turns but does not find the opening and closing points. any idea how to fix this problem? I will make videos to explain THANKS

what about ford valve motor with 4 pin?
Was it lighter oil than oem? Or level change? If not does not seem like it would make any big difference?
Same weight and level as oem, made a Hugh difference. Before the bike would feel unstable and not able to get my knee down, now it runs smooth in group 3 on the track (fastest group) 100% would do this with a bike I bought second hand
is it safe to prop up the bike like that? will it bend the exhaust pipes
Put a towel under it and a wide piece of wood. Not even a scratch
R1 just weights 180kg, on a heavy bike I would not
