The "3 in 1" was always a stand-up moment at every game. I miss the Chief, but sometimes change is for the better. The "3 in 1" is still great!

What was everyone favorite memory about the Cheif?

Wow. Just saw this after 11ish years after playing in this band. Seeing clips of myself was great... But this really brought back memories. Girls I romanced (many more in which I failed at), friends I haven't seen in over a decade, music that can't even be played at games anymore, and Pete. Pete was great. The company was fantastic. I can't express how much I loved this time of my life.

So in the days of an "all male" band, we went to St. Louis for a parade and the Cardnals/Bears game. We introduced the concept of "clothing optional" at 11 pm in the hotel pool. Maybe we weren't the model guests.

I've watched this a dozen times trying to relive the spirit I was a part of 1968- 1973. Best experience of my 72 years. Much better uniforms than we had.

Sure miss the Chief❤️

I am an 'Illini' former 1970-74 Bands Member. Only the BEST survive here. The Cable Movie about a Black Music College in the South, 'Drumline' is NOTHING to the Illini Marching Band!!!!!

I was part of that, drum captain actually in graduating class of 1974. Incredible, the Cable 'Drumline' has NOTHING on the Illini Marching Band.....PERIOD!!!!!

Really terrific visuals here. Very professionally done, so a BRAVO on that aspect. That said, call me a purist, call me an obstructionist, or just plain old fashioned ... but on the audio aspect, I have to ask, "Why techno?' The MI is certainly a performing group that honors the visual in performance, but in the end, they are about music. Why use techno music that has nothing to do with the MI, rather than their own music?
