Great archive fellow
John Brisker sighting.
Whoever is responsible, Thank U, that video brought back so many great memories! And in those early days my H.S. friends & I could usually find a free way into the Seattle Center Coliseum 2 watch the Sonics or Totems. And 2 make it all more interesting 1 or 2 of our H.S. friends were Ball Boys 4 the Sonics & 1 of them, Tom or Tommy H. would imitate the various Superstars like Wilt Chamberlain or Lew "Karem Abdul Jabbar" Alcindor & crack us all up. What a shame of what became of them, unscrupulous businessmen allowed to run amuck over a whole city & what fun they could have created 4 us. Ahh the good old days, I'd give an arm or leg, but not both, 2 relive them again!
Slick Watts was cool
Hey, you forgot the best one. The Kings perfect game
12:24 Reynolds only beat Rickey Henderson in stolen bases because he was injured
Still a big achievement because it was normal for Rickey to win SB even when he was injured because he was so far ahead of everyone.
They were a great team,so much talent
Put together by the traitors who sold the team to Oklahoma.
The Randy Johnson Cy Young section reused a few clips from My Oh My in the same exact order, but with different music.
MISS THE 90S MS
J.ruckman, it looks like a few seconds are cut off at the 1:26 part of this video. Is this the way it was originally, or was it cut off due to copyright? If possible, please re-upload the entire amount as it is. I'm curious as to what the cut pieces are.
Nothing cut. Was how it was. It just jutted awkwardly from one clip to the other.
Miss the sonics please do the right thing Adam
Somewhere in heaven, Barry Ackerley is still asking himself "Why the he'll did I sell the Sonics to that coffee boy Howard Fucking Schultz"?
He might’ve regretted it right now
Oh man this really makes me want to cry, I really hope we can get the Sonics back and bring the NBA back to Seattle. I think this and my oh my , have to one of my favorite Seattle sports documentaries ever along with America’s game on the 2013 Seahawks.
Tim Brando must have based his play by play on this tape.
Thank you for posting this video! Abslutely love it! I grew up on the 1975-76 Sonics team. That is when my passion for the Sonics and the NBA began. Never forget being at a 1976 game when Slick Watts hit a game winning shot with no time against the Pistons.
This is great. Thanks for uploading this, mate. Love old-school NBA.
The Seattle Supersonics had two All-Rookie selections in their maiden season in Bob Rule and Al Tucker. It was the first time an expansion franchise ever had an All-Rookie choice in NBA history.
seattle has been my favorite team since its inception and was so very upset they were hornswaggled away to okla i live in okla and to this day want all records separate there is no comparing the two
Supersonics and Bullets now it's Thunder and Wizards
80s sonics: x-men, ellis, chambers.
excuse me, can you upload Celebrating 100 Years of Husky Football (1990)?
I don't have it, but I'd like to check it out! Go Dawgs
the thunder have never ever been 1 bit elite not having 2 face legends like robertson abdul-jabbar chamberlain + russell
the sonics best playoff years were #1 1979 #2 1980 #3 1978 #4 1987 #5 1996 and #6 1993
Payton-kemp-perkins-schrempf-hawkins-mcmillan
they went to rounds 4 + 2 in 96 + 97
2000s best M's player - ichiro suzuki
He wasnt my favorite but i cant find a good reason to disagree with you. He was a very well rounded player and lightning fast. Idk if its true ive never met him but i have heard he is a prick, although that changes nothing of what he has achieved. Great ball player
the 1997 world series should have been mariners giants
=email
The Marlins Swept the Giants in the first round and would've beat the M's in 5 games.
Edgar, Randy, Junior and Buhner kept this team in Seattle.
So many nights in the 60's I spent with my transistor radio under the covers listening to Dick Snyder , Leapin' Lee , Bob Rule ... . When I hear rats in Oaklahomo talk about the championship they won in '79 I want to slap them .
Marvin Webster
Was really hoping David Thompson could turn his career around when Seattle got him. Started out well, but it didn't last.
I am so fortunate to have witnessed this great Seattle event, went to my 1st sonic game in 1968, their 2nd year in the league. My dad and I and some of my closest friends got to go to so many games back then. No ticketmaster and extra fees, 3 or 4 bucks for kids, 5 bucks for my dad. Will always love the Sonics. I wish that coffee swiller transplant from New York never was born. He really stuck it to all the fans here. My God the Portland trailblazers are the oldest major pro team in the Northwest, Bring Back the FREAKIN SONICS! OH and screw you OKC. Keep WestBRICK for ever because ballhogs and statchasers never get rings!
@Gary Thompson Nice line up! off the bench i would have Gus Williams, Dennis Johnson, Lonnie Shelton, sam perkins, bob rule
1:38 Didn’t he own the Chargers about a decade after that?
Then that Rockst Scientists Howard Schultz sells the tsam to a couple of Country Bumpkins from Oklahoma City and wonders and Cry Foul when they Hijack it to OkC
@Willie Gordon That's what they thought (or at least hoped) at first. Yet David Stern, and the NBA in general let Bennett move the Sonics away with minimal resistance, both of whom made little to no effort to keep the team in Seattle. I'm sure there would have been ways if his intent was to do so, and not ship them out to O.K.C. A.S.A.P. Granted they needed a new building (which they're soon getting, with re-renovating the coliseum/Key Arena to bring it up to top professional sports standards once again) in order to accommodate both their new NHL hockey team the Kraken, and whatever future NBA franchise the city may (or may not) eventually get back one day too.
Still can't believe they would eventually move one day, which was among the biggest travesties in all of sports! I even HAVE this actual tape (which got flooded from Hurricane Sandy, but repaired, and put on DVD though). I really hope the SuperSonics will return one day, but if not, the town is at least getting the next best thing with another winter sport in a year from now. That of which being their brand new NHL team, the Seattle Kraken. They of whom I know the fans there will surely fall in love with at least almost, if not just as much as they did with Sonics, and be yet another great asset to the community as time goes on I'm sure too.
Wow, 21:20 that flip from Gus to Lonnie, I always remembered that play. Over the years whenever I'd think about that Sonic team, that was the play that always came to mind first in my memory. Man, those were some great times. I was just a kid of about 10 back in those days and I believed the Sonics were gonna rule the NBA for a hundred years.
Thank you. Bring back great memories Grew up a Sonics fan all thanks to those tapes delayed games back in the late 70s. My 1st recreation basketball team, 1978, our team name was the Sonics. My favorite player was John Johnson. Talk about being excited! Thanks again for sharing this video with us. We need our Sonics back!!
Who is playing that higher pitched sound that subtly starts at 3:04 and continues for a minute or so?
Emily
LMAO at 'Fat Freddy Brown'!
Freddy Brown would have a more successful moniker in "Downtown", for his propensity of his long range shooting.
9:07 Ooh She Fine!
her face is semi attractive
Bring back the Sonics.
they are SO GOOD!!
You're too much, I can't take it You always seem to make my heart stop and I can tell that there's something in your eyes Calling me I want you now, I want you all over me Can't you tell me all your secrets? I'll tell you all mine I'll tell you all mine Saw you all alone on the outside I knew your move Do you remember me The same way I do you? I want you, open wide Can't you tell me all your secrets? I'll tell you all mine I'll tell you all mine So good You're so good So good You're so good So good So good You're so good So good Going out of my mind I'm handling it Going out of my mind I'm handling it You're good, you're good, you're good I'm handling it So good, so good, so good I'm handling it You're good, you're good, you're good I'm handling it So good, so good, so good I'm handling it
En vivo es la cosa mas bella de la vida ❤️💕💫
