Traffic lights actually are intelligent these days, both wireless and networked. they can be set up to change timings based on the amount of traffic during things like rush hour vs. late at night. It also accounts for things like special events, road work, holidays and so on. Congestion is caused by the amount of drivers on a particular road that may not have been built to handle it in the fist place. As you probably know the UK built the current roadways off ancient paths retaining history. Your country has a lot of old world architecture and preservation is a big part of your culture. In the US we have tons of congestion due to things like road construction, more drivers, expansion, and so on. We are not as old as Europe and many things don't work well here. Full on mass transit isn't a viable solution to rely on due to how vast the US really is (despite the opinions of the left here in the states). This is why EV is not a viable solution because it would kill much of the travel industry. Driving has more freedom especially long distance. EV is only good for the short hop.

Highrise City seems to be be a lot smoother than Cities Skylines 2 and not taxing on graphics. This has a lot more logic than CS/CS2 from what I can see here. It is more about making the city a real thriving metropolis where you have to consider minutia of details. I like that. As a veteran of Sim City and Cities Skylines, I think Highrise City is the wave of the future. Also of note Sim City 4 (Rush Hour edition) allowed you to drive. Albeit it was not as polished but for it's time it was awesome.

I'm feeling Sim Rail is more of an arcade game vs. an immersive simulator. I'm leaning more to Run8 or even Railroader as ones I'd spend money on.

wow wow wow stop right there! The question of what your budget is, is to make sure customers can afford it the vehicle and ensure I advise them correctly. I work for JLR' I know bad choice hehe but you cant buy one of these with a Ford Focus budget. Most cars sold are at a company fixed rate or manufacturer fixed rate. If you pulled the 'I can get a lower rate, or a better px price', my response is fair play, crack on!. The old trick of adjusting the finance rate is long gone. I want to help my customers not trick them!

I just picked this game up a couple of days ago because of your video and already put 15.5 hours into it. It's a real challenge to play in Freemode.

I only wish stockpiling would habe anynefect on gamplay, like the building materials dealer having arational sales with a significant prize drop on certain items ( for the sake of argument let's say rebar mesh) so you could stock up on it for cheap, hey you'll allways need rebar, and thus earn more on later jobs. As it is now the only real use the warehouse has is to stuff the mstereals you bought first the current job avay when your mp session decides that half themmare not actually stacked in a propper manner causing other issues. It allmost looks like the devs have just put the warehouse in the game as a cleverly hidden bug workaround , but I'm being cynical

The Ford Twin Cities Assemble Plant (TCAP) I worked at (from 2007 to 2008) in the IT department only built one truck (the Ford Ranger) from 1993 to 2011. They did build the Mazda truck as well there, but it used much of the same parts with differences in certain things (tail lights for example). From the train car load-in area to the paint building, to assembly, and finally the parking lot there are a lot of stations. You should set up the lines to go in more than one direction in a zig zag pattern and limit what each station does. This will greatly speed up assembly production (placing parts on both sides of the lines will make the workers more productive because they are not walking around the lines to get a part) though it should be tested if that game mechanic works. The final area should be only for car exits. No parts assembly. The cars just sit on that line wating to be driven out. It get's a bit more complex when having multiple car builds. If you want to build multiple cars you could just build separate plant on the same property. Two buildings dedicated to one vehicle each. At Ford's TCAP they had single dedicated lines for each thing (chassis, body, engines, exhaust etc.) Some lines had multiple parts installed at the same time, but the big ticket items needed dedicated spaces. One quality of life feature this game needs is the ability to assign cars to a particular lot. This way it's not a cluster in appearence.

I hope there will come a point when Paul removes the stream clutter. So many distractions take away from the game (alerts, animations, AI reading and the chat). I come to watch him play the game and enjoy his commentary (and have for years) and not be bombarded by screen clutter. He still makes his money with or without that. Favigano gave up the screen clutter because he figured out that it was distracting. It's getting to the point where the content is becoming unwatchable becasue of the stream distractions. I've been watching Paul off and on since 2013.
