As a 22 year old aspiring chef who has worked at Chili's as a prep cook for nearly 3 years now, I'm glad I had the time there but I'm definitely ready to move on to my new job working as a cruise ship assistant cook very soon. My job at Chili's is where I actually discovered I wanted to become a chef as it was originally a temporary job to get me through community college right after Covid, only for me to find out I wanted to explore more advanced culinary career options. Hoping I will learn enough on the cruise ship I'm currently wanting to work as a hotel chef when my contract is done.

And it’s unnecessarily stressful because restaurant managers are sociopathic pervs. Only do that shit until you can find something else.
Always start on a lower to medium heat when cooking then you can go up or down as needed in temperature ❤🥮
I’ve been cooking at home for decades and I’ve discovered it is always wise and helpful to stick with the basics even when you’re turning up your game to more complex cooking techniques. Your channel is the closest to perfect for not only training students that are just beginning, but to refresh the working memories of things we discovered in the kitchen long ago but have somehow let go of to the demise of a dish we thought we had conquered. I've been using the chili crisp and mixing it with my personal favriot spices for quick ramen for a while now, and it works great. I heard people buy all three and use them together. I never did cause not a fan of too much sugar in my cooking
