Elvis recorded 'That's When Your Heartaches Begins' on January 13, 1957 at Radio Recorder Studio 1 in Hollywood, California. Elvis originally recorded the song at the Memphis Recording Service (Sun Records) as part of his first private demo session in which he also recorded 'My Happiness'. That's When Your Heartaches Beings was released as a B-side to All Shook Up on March 22, 1957.

When Elvis started playing in Vegas that's when things started really going downhill for him. And you can see it plane as day! Two or three shows a day too much strain on a person's voice. Not to mention their health! In the 68 comeback he still had his voice 4 years later he did not! When a person tears their vocal cords they never quite sound the same and their voice gets deeper and that's what happened to Elvis! Where were all his so-called friends? Far as I'm concerned they were all users! And in the end we will all have to pay for our sins!
He sounded pretty good at the end man.

I wish he had learned to say NO to things he didn't want to do. Movies he didn't want to be in and concert after concert. That manager wore him out. At the age of 45 and still going strong it all got to him. His health should have been the number one thing his manager should have made sure of. He just didn't know how to slow down and enjoy HIS life. The fame got to him.
I swear to God, only Elvis could wear 70s high fashion and look sexy af! Also his talent was off the scale as was his sense of humour. Even without the oodles of talent, he was sooooo fine to watch and hilarious in between. But when he rocked out conducting the drums and rest of the band, those beautiful hips were magical to watch. He could be here now at 89 and he'd still be the most stunning, generous and funny person alive. The man was sheer perfection 🔥 long live the King ❤

Wow, never heard the Del Shannon cover before. This is very special for me to hear. He could truly carry any song. Even though Elvis recorded some of his best songs during the Vegas years I absolutely hate what that era did to him. He was just a cash cow for Col Tom.
