Episode 44: Zombie Landscape
Sunday, August 12, 2012, Zombies invaded Downtown Halifax. They started from the Garrison Grounds at the base of the Halifax Citadel. They went through the Public Gardens; along Spring Garden Road. The hordes went by the Public Library then proceeded along Argyle St before hitting the Grand Parade. Journeying along Barrington St., they went towards Cornwallis Park in the South End.
A big thank you to the organizers of the Halifax Zombie Walk.

    I love how you can tell from the "replay frequency" thing CZcams has now that Canadians like the German segment.. probably the drums, and how unusual it is for us to see Germany anywhere over here! But we absolutely LOVE the first bit of our traditional pipes and drums and would never, ever miss it.

    I did not know you could get to it. From the highway, it looked it up this hill that was hard to get up, and I'm thinking, how does one get there?

      There is a gravel path just about metres north of the Rotunda site. When you get on the gravel path, just go over the railway tracks and head over there. The train passes by a regular intervals so careful when you cross.

    George's Island is actually named after King George III. The fortifications on the island are called Fort Charlotte after his wife, Queen Charlotte.

    My old neighbourhood! I lived in the hydrostone area for 45 years before moving out which I really came to regret, but by then it was too late. my dad was a rotten businessman and was conned into selling what have should have been mine- the car and house.

    No tunnels, alas - though that'd be pretty neat. It shows up in some local ghost stories, surveys of the harbour have to my knowledge turned up no evidence either of voids beneath the harbour, or of any collapsed tunnels. If there were one, it would hypothetically be somewhere near the West Caponier, as the Royal Engineer yard was once ashore in that direction (around where Pier 21 stands today). I never realized I moved around so much while speaking... haha Hope you enjoyed the tour! =)
