We Got Our Construction Permit from the FCC!!!!!!!!
After 8:27 your vid sucks.
What happened to the audio at the end? I guess its got to do with some of the copyright laws on here.
The FCC shut this pirate down not long after this video was made. It later came back as legitimate station KNNZ 89.1 several years later. Search wikipedia for KNNZ.
They must have started playing some REALLY illegal music. Had to cut the audio near the end.
Listen to the second or third harmonic of the frequency, use an attenuator and a directional aerial....and narrow the scan of the antique spectrum analyser....
What’s the name of the song playing at 6:00 minute area?
It blew my mind when “Its my life” came on 🤣 They had me right there!!

Who really gives a damn because I do it all the time in my place only I rebroadcast Public Safety frequencies instead over the air so get over it stop making such bullshit excuses to make a video to incriminate people‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️
Does anyone know the song that goes "I can see that you're jealous of me" at 2:20? I've been trying to find the song for the last 5 or 6 years now lolol
These guys are now officially licensed as KNNZ or “Kens FM” on 89.9 getting out with 100,000 watts
Currently, as of 2023, there is a repeater of KBVB 95.1 on 94.5.
hey time traveller 8o's is calling you back,, but bud please wont you stay awhile!? ... the feeling the music watching that little man jump up and down! i can you enough for the feelings! where does this go down id like to hear it myself some day!
The sound of the "radiostream" wasn't good. A lot of distortion on the microphone. Btw... what a beauty's those Technics turntables. Highly searched for nowadays in 2023. Nowadays for a stream all you need is a pc, a microphone and a mixer and your live.. via applications like mAirlist and so. But strange... you search this pirate... and then it turns out you know him... he even let's you play his faderboard.. but you didn't know he had a FM transmitter? Or was it just a prank? It is your own house.. :P
Hope you are doing well and still rocking on. Hello from north of Grand forks.
Not obvious at all 😂. Just a random house with huge antennas sticking out the roof
I want a radio like this in my town
this guy is a broadcasting legend!
Not to be rude but let them be they are harmless to ems and so, so get your old but home and worry about your self 😂
Dead or alive yeah
Well, let’s accept the fact you were illegally transmitting on said frequency lol
It’s be great to get an update on how your doing these days. My friend and I have a pirate station running for the west coast of Scotland.
You can make up a direction finder. easier.
when i was young radio stations never over laped songs . now they over lap so you don't record songs
I still love watching these. Probably the 6th time I've watched this series 😁
Ah yes the sound feeder.. i used to slip a bigger antenna on tip of it and get my signal a couple blocks. I doubt anyone else listened to it but it was fun
FCC licenses are nothing more than strong arm tax stamps but they don't have the ba**s to admit that. Ya think license and it meaning you took classes to learn this stuff. Hell no. They remind me of fishing licenses. Just another fraudulent way to get our money. I bet if you took a group of 100 people and asked if licenses should be legal, 97% would say no and the practice of requiring one should be stopped. It is simple taxation applied by those we elect to represent us, but the representation goes out the window because nobody wants useless meaningless taxes. Why do you think so many people don't bother or worry about getting. These meaningless wastes of paper and ink?
This has always been one of my favorite videos on CZcams, I’d like to find a version that still has the original audio at the end.
Leave him alone.
He is actually the one who made the pirate station.
The sound cut out at 8:30.
Thank you for providing your time and guidance to those young adults. FCC needs to find something better to do.
In my country (Norway) all the radio stations have moved to DAB now, and the FM band is being repurposed. Music on DAB sounds like crap in a tin can, I think they have like 64kbps bitrate or something... 😖 A good FM signal could be near CD quality with a good receiver.
I do a little in-house Pirate radio station from time to time I'm usually always on 107.1 that's one of the clearest frequencies in my area. the little transmitter I have usually goes no more than 200 feet slightly just passed my neighbors house . but I don't worry too much about the FCC knocking on my door since the transmitter power does comply with part 15 of the FCC for unlicensed broadcasting.
I never really liked it when the DJ talks over the last few seconds of the track because it would screw up many home recorded mix tapes back in the days before the internet that's how we downloaded and made our own compilations. well you can't really call it downloading that's just an analogy that I use for today's modern generations we would just record in real time off of the radio .
although I can agree now these days commercial radio does suck because a lot of stations are owned by large broadcasting companies and they decide the programming . so that's why pirate stations are better. if they just give radio back to the people us the listeners meaning stations go back to being independently owned commercial radio would be much much better because each station owner can set their own programming their own format and fulfill their listeners expectations. not only that they can play anyting from top 40 Hits two small local independent music .
ughh grose that makes not want to drink Pepsi again .
according to part 15 of the FCC rules you are allowed to broadcast without a license. although the signal can't travel very far usually no more than 200 feet at the most I think the full legal power is just a little under watt.
If there's no 84.5mhz that is licensed to this town, then what's the darn harm if they ain't stepping on any other live on the air frequencies??? 🙄
I come back to this video occasionally for comments like this. This is the guy who ran the pirate station.
@@SilentGlovesif you don't mind answering a couple questions that would be awesome. How powerful was your station and did you ever fear interfering with EMS cops or anyone like that's frequencies??? I'm wanting to do one in my kinda smaller town and play all local music any info would help!!
@@oofogman420oo2 Sorry, you misunderstood my comment. I wasn't saying *I* was the guy that ran the station, I was saying the guy in the video (Ken) ran the station.
Politicians and the government can't be trusted. Same for religious leaders and organized religion. All they want to do is make lots of money, and control the world.
Yo, ho, ho, and a bottle of rum!☠
lol fuckin pedantic boomers, get over it
If you watched the full series the pirate station is actually ran by the guy taking the video and he goes thru the studio setup.
I had a pirate fm station. 90.3 I was running 100 watts. It was a college campus transmitter. The stero composite generator sucked. At the time I was doing commercial radio tower work. One piticular station i saw that they had 3 Orban Optamod stereo composite generators. New when they bought them they were probably 20,000.00 I asked the engineer what they wanted for it. He said 100.00 $ I bought it and he helped me get the station sounding good as a pro station. I had a limiter / compresser. It sounded great. Furthest I was able to hear it was about 10 miles away. 100 watts.
It's not like it's jamming any other station. Spectrum analyzer......lol.... he just wanted to show off his expensive toy. I was famous for locating troublemakers on the cb. We used base stations with yagi antennas to vector a direction. Then I had someone keep them talking. Once, I was close enough that they pegged the meter. I turned down the RF gain on the radio. Then, when it was pegged again, I took off the antenna. Then, I was able to visually look and see the antenna. Doing this, I never transmitted until I locaed the trouble maker, and only after I took some notes like the address , the house color , the vehicles parked there , the license plates on the vehicles. And other obvious things to identify the offender. Then I left and didn't say anything till I was 10 to 15 miles away. I would announce to everyone who was listening that the troublemaker is at this address and the color of the house , other details about the house. Then, each vehicle and the license plate. The best direction to come from to do something to them. The best direction was usually the worst. For mission purposes. I would say ," Now we know where you are at". I might be back in a week or maybe a month. Then I would wonder what to do to correct this problem on the air. It was psyopps. I would tell them I might slash all their tires or maybe burn their house down. This particular person's wife herd what I said and freaked out. Every time he keyed and tried to save face, he could hear her freaking out in the background. Then it was, I'm sorry. I shouldn't have been a dick. I don't want any trouble. Sometimes I purposely wouldn't reply till the next day. By then, he was done causing trouble. One troublemaker moved into to the town I lived in. It was my town. Nobody could out key me. But he plugged my ears. He was easy to find . He had an apartment in town. You couldn't miss the Avanti sigma 4 antenna. One night at around 2:AM I climbed up another buildings ladder and walked across the rooves of the other buildings and took his antenna down and appart. Then I left. Next morning, he was on his mobile and screaming threats and saying he installed cameras and so on. I did it again. No cameras. This time, he about had a stroke . Then he started threatening people and so on. I waited for 2 weeks and got a third antenna, except it was a cheapo. I still took it and his mobile antenna too. He gave up finally. Now we are friends. I've gotten several more but you get the point. My 14 year old asked him if my dad really got 3 antennas off his roof ? He lowered his head and said yea... Little shit didn't believe me. I can't believe he asked that. But he got the answer straight from the offender.
Nice audio at the end????😡
how much for ALL of your equipment ?
you guys still on the air out there? would love some new content from this channel!!
Where are you sir?
in 80s we have in south poland many pirates stations fm .. comunism are censored of the air .. on 90's. we have transmiters for the fun for the girls .. Resopect . Grettings from south Poland Pirates FM Krakow city
Good grief. It was all a lie. You weren't ever hunting you knew where it was all the time. No shame either. He thinks it's okay to break the law and run a pirate station. WTF idiot.
He has a license.
In Phoenix Arizona (where I live) there is a station call 9.45 kool fm it has 70s 80s and 90s music I love 9.45 kool fm
You broadcast on Shortwave as well??
If someone isn't with the FCC, why would they have a spectrum analyser in their car if they're not running a pirate station? 😂
