What is the issue with your Bluetooth?

@@whatsdavedone104 my Bluetooth was not connecting. I looked at your solution. I found the tool that you posted a link to on Amazon to open up I took it out, unplugged it and plugged it back in and now it works. Thank you so much for your information.

Glad you got it sorted, I was going to suggest unplugging and plugging back in to reset....but I wasn't sure of the issue 😀

Never mind! Reached out to Eonon and I didn't install the audio cable in back of unit with the tx/rx wire to canbus. Working perfectly now!!

What headunit? How is your reverse camera wired? Does your head unit have a canbus box or does it have a trigger wire to reverse bulb? If you have a canbus box you don't need to wire to reverse bulb, you just need a 12v ignition live connection

Do you mean the Eonon VWA13? You can't disable reverse camera on the VWA13....you can unplug the pink wire to canbus box so it doesn't send a signal but you can physically disable it on the head unit

I don't know 😕 the boot on a touran is a lot heavier than on a Golf.

Within the settings there is an option to turn on "parking radar" this will display the parking sensors on the screen. I think it's in extra settings.

Thanks for your fast reply dave. What about the radio on the unit is it DAB I'm not really bothered about DAB but would like a newer stereo with carplay/android auto ect

@whatsdavedone104 no dave it's a factory fitted shark fin. I don't want dab radio like I said I just want a modern upgrade with decent bluetooth connection and carplay and android auto ect

All depends on model of headunit...should be a reverse camera setting option to turn off rear trajectory lines

Unfortunately not, DAB works of a different frequency to FM and also need 5v, supplied by the headunit, for the signal booster

@goranbucic in my cabriolet the dab aerial is part of front windscreen, in hard tops it's in the rear screen

Any on the top row, they will come on and go off with ignition. All other fuses are constantly live

@@whatsdavedone104 its on the va13 running android 13. The adapter lightscyp so i know the booster is fine but can't be recognise by DAB app

Squeaky window is dry window seal...bet it doesn't squeak when it's raining....silicone spray on window seals, let it soak in for a few hours, will make a bit of mess on the glass but cleans off easily. Mirror dip might not be set up, only passenger Mirror dips, set the toggle to passenger side Mirror, L or R depending on left or right hand drive, put car in reverse then adjust the Mirror to where you want it to dip to, turn toggle to 0 and it should return to original position. Mirror will only dip if the toggle is set to passenger side Mirror, won't dip if toggle is set to 0....hope that makes sense 😉

Just disconnect everything that is connected to the quad lock and remove all the extra wires....all android units come with built-in Bluetooth and microphone 👍

@@whatsdavedone104 In terms of battery drain, my current standard head unit turns off when I take my key out (I noticed that there was some wiring done with the ignition wire in that head unit area). But if I wanted to, I can press the head unit power button and it turns on (even without the key being in). Going back to the first question, would it be okay if I do not remove any of the extra wires (e.g. parrot box) and simply plug in a new android head unit and it should turn off when I take the key out. This is because I don’t want to mess around with these extra wires too much. Last question is, what size (in inches) head units work with a mk5 golf and a good amount of ram for stuff like Waze?

Yes you can leave all parrot kit wired in. The screen size is 9". There is only really one unit I would recommend and that's the Eonon VWA12S6G. 6g+64g. You don't want to cheap out and get a 2g+32g as these are very slow and laggy. Here is a link to the Eonon VWA12S6G. tidd.ly/3tBjQZK

Check the plug connection into the light housing for corrosion....only 1 reverse light, it's on passenger side

​@@whatsdavedone104one of my fuses was blown and the light fault didnt show. It was fuse 4 i replaced that which fixed a few issues like oil sensor warning and parking sensors but reverse light fault on and no reverse light

So parking sensors are working, I would have thought that if reverse switch was faulty the sensors would also stop working....maybe getting the car scanned for codes will highlight the issue 🤷‍♂️

Doesn't affect power out put to the 12v port. The 2 I have are linked in sequence...don't see why you could purchase a single and double and link the 3 together...footwear lights will work of of these

When you say looking for mk7 do you mean the key upgrade for the mk6 or you have a mk7 and looking to upgrade it?

I don't have the VWA13 installed, it was very laggy 2g is not good. I have the VWA12S6G and it work faultlessly. I don't rate the budget units. Discount code Dave10 can still be used on all eonon products just use this link tidd.ly/3tBjQZK

I would try a full factory reset and see if that solves the issues you are having

Do you have a link to the unit you are installing? 99% of units it's the yellow wire that is the 12v to the unit.

What car are you installing it in? You can purchase patch harness so no wires need cut and fed ignition live 12v

Unfortunately there is no option on the VWA13 to turn off reverse camera....you need to unpin or cut the pink wires to the canbus box to prevent the reverse camera being triggered. I don't understand why they didn't put an option to turn it off like on the VWA12S6G and Q53pro

@jameswilby9381 I don't have any videos regarding mic installation....but all you need to do is feed it down behind the unit, out into foot well, across the top of steering column, remove the fuse box cover then tuck the wires behind the door rubber

I cut the reverse trigger wire - the front sensors show and not the back. Do you know how to sort the back sensors? They do bleep, just no graphic. Thanks

@jiankuo H7 are the dipped beam not high beam. H15 are high beam and drl, you have removed the wrong bulb
