Hey! I was actually aiming for Kangaskhan, but happy with Onix! Iirc this was in Rock Tunnel. I used level 13 Pokemon for a repel trick, and I did exactly what you do. I run until the repels run out and reset. The amount shown on screen is total encounters

Update: shiny onix obtained! Took 4 months of hunting. Nature is -sp.def/+speed but I suppose it could be worse! Caught at union cave after the 1st gym. So now I have shiny totadile and onix! Next up is hoothoot! Thanks for the shiny luck!

Are you checking several trees? Cause if you are only headbutting one tree, and find no Heracross, then you need to change

I don't remember, but it wasnt bad. I had Staryu to boost the encounters rate aswell!

Hello! I have not had any motivation to really get into any more shiny hunting as of late. Since this video, my 2nd child has entered the world, Iv'e bought a house and also gotten married, and I have also dealt with depression for a very long time. All of this lead me to not wanting to shiny hunt anymore, as my community more and more stopped popping in every stream, and it just demotivated me basically. I will probably at one point or another return, but as of now I'm an inactive shiny hunter! Sorry for the long answer :D

Reason i Master Balled it was only cause it was my very last hunt, and also the fact that the Master Ball was intentionally first made to actually capture Mewtwo :>

Iv'e never used hours as a meassure for how long it takes. Hours can be very bad for meassuring how long it takes for a streamer, as the streamer may be distracted by chat, or other things! But to answer your question, it didn't take that long! Think It was 2 or 3 streams of 4hours ish.

Well I looked on serebii which is pretty good when it says to where pokemon are says you can't catch a Growlithe in Pokemon soul silver but can in Heart gold

Yes, Growlithe is a version exclusive you can only get in HeartGold! The counterpart is Vulpix!

Hey! The clock has nothing to say. Once you start your HgSs copy all the headbutt trees are set. So what you have to do is basically headbutt trees until you find it. I'd recomend you to headbutt each tree atleast 5-6 times to see if you find a Heracross! If not change tree, and rinse and repeat! :) Good luck!
